What timeframe are you going by? GNX and this album or further back? Cause KD3 and Magic 1 are better than GNX and Mr Morale by a very wide margin. Magic 3 wasn’t great but it is better as well. Hell Nas is rapping his ass off on this album. It’s the production that let him down

None of those hitboy and Nas albums were remotely close to GNX or Mr morale :dead: .....Kendrick is 10 times the song writer Nas is at this stage. You Nas stans are delusional.

5 completely different vibes. Different subject matters. Different flows. Different writing styles. And every single one elite. THIS is what great writing is. It's complete blasphemy the suggest Nas is this dynamic with the pen right now. Not even in his prime was he this versatile.

Kendrick aint even have his first quotable yet. When did he ever say some shyt like "I saw a dead bird flying through a broken sky"? He's a pretty dope rapper, but at the end of the day he needs to pull every trick in the book to hide the fact that he's lyrically closer to Kanye than he is to Nas. Those concept tracks on GNX were corny.
he thinks Kendrick rhyming over a 2pac beat with 2pac's style is groundbreaking, but when The Game made a song rhyming as Eazy, Pac, and big, on "never say goodbye' he probably shytted on it.

Now Nas stans are gonna pretend he was a better songwriter than Kendrick Lamar. Jesus christ:mjlol:

Songwriting was never nas's strong suit. He was a great lyricist. Great storyteller. Great wordplay. But most of his attempts to cross over and reach the masses fell flat. He didn't have that song writing gene like Kendrick. Or Pac. Or Jay. Or Big. He attempted many times to make hits but could never really figure it out. That shyt is god given. There's a reason his biggest hit was with Lauryn.

Respectfully there are many places to have a reasonable Kendrick Nas debate but a Nas thread on this site is certainly not one of them.

Not even in his prime? You are delusional.

His verse on this is better than every verse uou posted.

Bear in mind no rapper in history has touched on more subjects than Nas, hes rapped as a fetus, as a detective, told a story backwards, rapper as a gun, rapped as someone ascending to heaven, wtf you smoking?

You're right. But somebody asked who I would rank above Nas today. Then Nas stans started going crazy as usual :mjlol: ......shoulda just ignored it. Like I said, this is a solid 3.5 mic album. Good to hear Nas still rapping his ass off. Just wish preme rose to that same level.

You are deluded, Nas most relevant song is You Owe Me, in fact it’s no pushing getting dweebs like you who wanted him to stay as a frugal young teen from Queens that stopped him from exploring those lanes more, 26 years later and his biggest songs with the current generation are songs men like you flamed, even through the women always loved it…

You complained about songs like these when Nas did it, ‘Please God let him spit that uzi in that army linen’ and praised others when they did, you brehs are gayyyyy

Nas in his prime was better lyricist than Kendrick. Especially conceptually and storytelling wise. That's why I still have him number 1. But as far as full song writing Kendrick might be the greatest ever. He could go from backseat freestyle to sing about me. From swimming pools to alright. From blacker the berry to Love. From Count Me Out to Not like Us. From Wacced out murals to Luther.

Kendrick is a song writing savant. I don't think people really understand how crazy this level of versatility is. We'll prolly never see it again.

I agree Kendrick is a genius songwriting wise, but we have already seen it before with Mos Def and Andre 3 stacks, Kendrick is just a more focused modern day West Coast Mos Def.
