We are at that point that we always get to in every Nas album thread.

After the first few days dudes stop discussing the actual album and start trying to convince others/crying that others don’t share the same opinion as them, then they have to recap Nas entire career and discuss shyt that has nothing to do with the actual songs on the current album.

It comes to a point where all it’s about is winning an “argument” I absolutely HATE what this site has become.

With the album released and in full swing I think the promotion has actually been pretty goos so far.

He had the Amazon Concert which looked like it was heavily sponsored by the NBA where he performed two songs from the new album alongside his classics. The interview with Budden that they’re hyping up. Hopefully he sits down with Joe & Jada as well. Looking forward to some videos too.

With what AZ posted on Instagram and him performing with Nas on every single Orchestra Illmatic show within the last year. It's no doubt in my mind that Nas has a planned joint album with him next year. Even brought AZ out for the Amazon show. All of this was done with intent, Nas is rebuilding the chemistry for the album. Hopefully the feedback from this Premier album doesn't deter him from putting together another project that his old fans have been asking for.

“Nas is the greatest human being who has ever lived and the 10 best albums ever are all Nas albums!”

“I agree completely but I went to one of Marley Marls jams and to high school with Roxanne Shante so my opinion means more than yours!”

Fight for 50 posts.

Obviously it's not the worst album. But it's his most disappointing album by far IMO. Even with expectations I felt were fair and reserved given that it's not 1999 or 2004 for either of them anymore performance wise, they still missed the bar by a mile IMO.

Just my opinion, don't care who disagrees. There are some embarrassing beats on here and most of that is driven by wack live instrumentation.
Do people forget about that Kanye and nas album?

Such a weird time

Nas said he never even heard it before it was put out

He had no idea what was going on

People should have looked at Kanye with a side eye back then

Kanye didn’t get 1/10th of what premo geting right now behind that album

He has a lot of misses on vol 1 vol 3 and dynasty. not to mention only american gangster was worth him coming out of retirement
Im not the only that thinks this but 4:44 was a miss too, Jay to me is RD, American Gangsta vibes, when he gets too far out of that pocket a lot of his stuff sounds forced, dude didn't sound believable at all rappin on some conscious/commentary type stuff. Just sounded like something he was looking to check off for his career/hop on a trend.
