hate to say it. but kanye and nas are not a good pairing musically. less about where kanye is now; the music has never consistently lived up to the potential of what those two SHOULD be able to do together.

it doesnt really make sense... nas and kanye should be a match made in hip hop heaven. but with the exception of "we major", "you mean the world to me", "everything i love" and "poppa was a playa", their collaborations have always failed to measure up imo.
And still dreaming and Adam and Eve and. Tons of good ones

Oh and Donda was a GREAT album

The last decent project was Life of Pablo and the last actual dope one was "My Beautiful . . ." Dude has been trash for awhile now.
Kanye has had some many dope productions since then lol. Such bs. And donda delux was great

Anyways do yall rly think prem wasn’t hella subpar on this ?

Put the klans robe wearing, Hitler-worshipping, Nazi-promoting bullshyt aside…

Kanye hasn’t made a “focused” album in damn near ten years. Those Vultures albums were absolute TRASH. Donda was messy, uneven, unfocused, and ultimately forgettable. Kanye is a walking disaster warning and history shows he won’t stay on his meds, won’t consistently get the help he clearly needs, and will wild out at any given moment. He’s NOT the person you lock in with for a full project because his default position is chaos. Nas musically doesn’t function well in chaos.

You had some good options you put forth. Metro? Absolutely. Running it back with Hit-Boy? Excellent. But Kanye West?!?! Modern day Kanye West?!?! F U C K NO
You know what Nas shoudnt do ? Rap over total weed plates like prem just mostly gave him minus 2-3 on here. Elite rapping. Bad production

Overall yes, but he did bless Nas with some of the dopest shyt he has had in awhile. I don't have a problem with Hit Boy production but Nas over classic NYC sound is the pinnacle.
They got a strong 4-5 on this. The rest is mid or wack beat wise. Preme has a couple of embarrassing beats in this.

no music video so far at all? no other stuff? nothing

Jesus man, this could have been so much more from product to roll out to everything and it hurts me to say that, Nas is my fav music artist across all genres

I get the sense that both Nas and Preme felt the lukewarm reception and mixed reviews from fans and they just want to move on.

It's unfortunate but I don't blame them. I still think it's a very dope album.

I just think Nas ain't with all that promo shyt anymore, he wanna just drop music and keep it pushing. They barely did anything leading up to the album.
