exactly.. this why I dont take most dudes opinions too seriously on here. People dont really study the history of artists or producers.

Truth.

That's exactly why their opinions are trash, lol.

We have a lot of people on here who missed a whole era of Hip Hop or don’t know anything about it, questioning how Nas and Preem approached an album dedicated to the era these people never witnessed. That's why Premier recently said that if you're not a day one head, then ask the people who were there about it.

You can't really call Tom Ford a gay runway song when the gayer and cornier song was BBC, on which Nas was featured

:mjlol: I would never disrespect another person’s personal opinion on music and their taste. if you think nas is wack or has been for yrs that’s your opinion and doesn’t bother me at all.

The only question i have is, do you always form your opinion on the quality of an album by how many records is sells?

Try to having a serious music conversation with this moron

Some tracks have def grown on me. NYSOM def grew on me. I didn’t hate at first but I wasn’t crazy about it. It’s actually pretty damn dope. To me the album really picks up at “Sons”. The stretch of Nasty Esco Nasir, Bouquet, and Junkie is fantastic. Junkie is my favorite all around song. So yea rough start but the album def picks up in the 2nd half.
picks up at track NUMBER 8 is wat u sayin:mjcry:

People genuinely think MCHG is better than this. Legitimately making a case for it. At the same time, they're claiming it's one of Nas' worst albums.

This thread is living proof that just because someone listens to music and is a fan of it, doesn't mean their opinion is worth listening to. People can't even articulate why they like or dislike something half the time. Someone literally stopped listening to the album after four tracks and probably won't come back to it because their mind is already made up that it sucks.

Ok both songs were gay. Happy now? Album was dirt. Not only is the song gay. Tom Ford is actually gay.

“Light-Years” is a good album, but not the best in Mass Appeal’s 2025 roll-out. Nas is an elite lyricist, no question. And Premo? He’s an elite producer. But for “Light-Years”, he laced several tracks that were simply “just OK.”

Yeah, people are in here calling themselves "stans", but clearly lack knowledge on references and concepts that are being made by the MC's they think they stan for, lol. It's the weirdest sh*t ever. It's like @L. Deezy said. They don’t even study the history of the rappers and producers they claim to be fans of.

And like you said, they can't even speak to what doesn't work for them or why. We have to just ignore people like that. They're not adding anything to the discussion. Buncha bums.
