Smh at anyone critiquing the Cryto/investment talk. "Git Ready" is so dope because it pretty much reflects what the concept of "Light Years" is. Like Nas said in the Budden interview, it's about how far Hip Hop has come along. So for him to flip the drug talk into the tech talk is perfect. Lol at that type of talk making any grown man's skin crawl. Pathetic.

Some weird comments in this thread. Some dude actually thought it was weak that Nas dedicated a song to female rappers. Only an insecure, incel weirdo would say something like that.

This is why I don't even take a lot of opinions on here seriously.

Album is flames.

Pretty much my sentiment... I got back from NY on Monday and been like man Im thankful to be able to hear my teenage years put to music. There are some that have no knowledge base on how special it is to have a 50 something year old Black man rhyming like this about this subject matter.

I could not wait to post a picture of me and my son in front of the Rockafella tree with a snippet of Young sons in the back. Im respectful of cats opinions but I have 20 something year old employees and literally will play a top 20 song hip hop song ever and they just can not relate. And vice versa they play me something and Im like wait this is what yall thing is dope?
If Im talking to anyone under I say 35 on this board with no kids, no financial ambition, no guidance. Play this and 444 until you get it.

I plead with my young brothas I employee to listen to what Im sayin, I be like get yall jokes off but know I dont gain from trying to teach you somethings you have experienced yet. It will save you money, heartache and life. He actually has a line about that. Only our community disregards true information.

Last note, I always thought Jay finally was catching up to Nas from a growth stand point with 444, but I think with this run he has had, he has moved himself into the top spot of THE hip hop ambassador.

Peace

Peace to the legend Ron G.

He's from around my way.

Uptown heads know he used to be outside pushing a little shopping cart with a mini boombox on top, selling his mixtapes! LOL!! Golden era greatness! All the OG's know what's up with the album. Much respect to Ron.

:salute:

Went to school in TN, I had a small recorder and played Ron G ALL Day all night. Bamas use to be like man what is that, how is he doing that?

Those Ron G tapes were like gold, back in the day!

Dude was in his prime during his Youngest in Charge days.

This is like saying stop talking about cinematography and acting and just enjoy the movie:mjlol:

How the product was made is going to effect how you receive it.

As with every Nas thread some of yall want it to be one way.

A movie can have a good story without good cinematography and good acting.

It’s plenty of whatever movies I can enjoy without critiquing every little thing about it.

This ain't the Fast & the Furious or a dumb popcorn movie. It's two of the greatest getting together so that's going to come with a higher level of scrutiny.

We're talking about the actual production. That's not a little thing it's a major part of an album.

"Adam and eve" is Dope, vintage Nas

One of his and Kanyes best works together

The rest of the album was Meh
