Man they need to get the FOH with that bullshyt narrative “if you not fukking with Light Years, then you wasn’t a real Hip Hop head in the first place “. Just because it’s so called “real hip hop” don’t always make it great music. That goes for back then and now. And I’m not even saying this album is trash or criticizing Nas because he always delivers lyrically. The general critique has strictly been on production. We love Premier, he’s our GOAT, but the beats on here range from cool to flat out subpar. It’s ok for us to have an opinion if we not feeling something from the greats. This album doesn’t take away from Premier’s legacy as a great.

I love this album but I feel the same way about the critics. It's cool not to fukk with something (everybody taking personal jabs at Preemo or trying to shyt on his undeniable legacy as the greatest to ever make a beat can go fukk themselves). To each his own.

Criticism on the music alone is valid. Shytting on the album because you have an axe to grind against fans of this particular style of hip-hop, Nas himself, or because you're a weirdo unable to accept the fact that you're also one of the old heads you used to point at and laugh about is what I have a problem with.

And having listened to 3rd Childhood for the 48th million time, my main complaint about this album is that I wish it were longer. I need more Nas and Preemo in my life.

Album is really good. It definitely gets better the more you live with it, it sounds great in the car. Premier definitely could have come a little better but the beats grew on me the more I have listened to it. The album is very cohesive and Nas spitting like this 30+ years in the game is crazy.

Regarding the sales, if they did the full round of promo that Clipse, De La, Mobb and Ghost did they would have sold a lot more but Nas doesn’t really do promo and I don’t think he cares about sales. I’m surprised they did the interview with Budden.
