Getting a finished vinyl pressed and out to consumers is a massive headache unlike anything else in the music industry. It’s expensive at every level of the process and delays are the standard unless you’re a huge artist booking up the factories years in advance.
Point being any delay at this point was inevitable and has nothing to do with how they feel about the album. Deciding to press vinyl in the first place shows you care about your fans as it’s anything but an easy way to make money.
Agreed. It's not easy for an indie to get vinyl shipped on time. And I know the demand for this must have been high so it's more orders than you'd see for just about any other (rap) indie artists' release. I got buddies who always get their Griselda vinyl within a week or two but even that demand isn't matching Nas/Premo I bet.
It sucks but it's the process. Also makes me wonder if some big album is coming out soon, which is fukking up supply. There aren't many record pressing factories. So when a Taylor Swift album is being prepped, the factories can be booked for a long ass time.
