Too late

Nas Talks Hip Hop: Co-Signs Odd Future | Rap Basement

"I'm happy about music, it's pushing me back into the studio. I just love what's happening [in music]: I love Odd Future, [Lil] Wayne, Drake, 'Ye [and] Rick Ross. It's something that threatens my position. Or it makes me question what I'm going to do next. What kind of impact do I want have now that I've been in the business this long. It's a challenge, it's scary even. But I'm very comfortable. I'm excited to see what comes out of me… I'm ready.

Nas: Do you like cheese?

Tyler, the Creator: I love cheese.

Nas: Cheddar or Swiss?

Tyler, the Creator: Swiss. Cheddar for the most of my life. Today, it’s Swiss.

Nas: Sick. That’s cool. I love fukkin’ cheddar. That’s my shyt.

Tyler, the Creator: Why? Why did you ask?

Nas: I don’t know. I just want to know.

Nas benefiting off of his legendary status. If you was a young rapper come-up, to be able to say you got Nas on your sophomore joint would be as good if not better than actually putting out your album. Remember Meek's eyes outside whatever venue in the parking lot lobby when he ran into Nas? Dude was starstruck like, "I break bread with one of my idols!"

Nas benefits by gaining potential converts that weren't even alive when his debut dropped. It all contributes to his iconic status. Classic case of you scratch my back and I'll scratch yours. Drake is still a fakket though.

:heh: at these bitter Jay stans in this thread.

What does Nas have to gain by making a collab with this dude? I'm pretty sure more fans of this culture know who Nas is more so than this Tyler dude.

Face it, Jay only seems to do collabs with the most popular rappers/singers in the game, I don't see Jay making songs with Rae or any of the Wu Tang members like Nas did, I mean damn even Wayne gave Joe Budden a verse :mjpls:

And Wanye was more reverent than Jay even before his health problems made news :umad:

Not to mention Nas has done a bunch of features with Underground R & B artists and last year dropped a song with those underground rappers Dead Prez....

Don't think Nas forced Tyler to do this feature the way Jigger forced JT to do a tour

dope shyt. I wish the song has Earl on it too.

Nas trying to become relevant again by dikk riding these new nikkas. Disgusting....

How?
Nas will appear on Tyler's album, not the other way around. Tyler sold 45k in his first week (around 120k in total) . Nas sold 149k (around 350k in total). Nas was on MTV hottest mcs list, Tyler wasn't. so who's riding who?
