Those were both remixes after the originals were a success, just like jay did with juvie and he did with 50 and now doing with Kendrick. U rarely see jay do original tracks with rappers not affiliated with him and u rarely see nas jump on remixes of successful tracks and not go in with the artist. That's the difference.
