Let’s talk about Rakim.
Made quite possibly the GOAT hip hop album in Paid In Full.
Two classics after that.
That alone puts him ahead of Lupe and pretty much every other rapper.
Even the album where he fell off was fire and has all time classic hip hop songs. I’m talking about Don’t Sweat The Technique and Know The Ledge.

Then there was the hiatus but he bounced back in 97 and made a dope album with classic songs with Pete and Premier.

I’m trading in Lupe’s whole catalog for Paid in Full alone.

Lupe doesn’t have a top 50 discography.
F&L is a dope album. 4 mics. I wouldn’t be mad if someone said 4.5 mics.
The Cool is a 3 mic album. Some of the production on that album is terrible.
Tetsuo is a dope album. 3.5 mics. I wouldn’t be mad if someone said 4. The production was the problem. Too modern. Lupe did his thing on that album.
I haven’t listened to Drogas yet. I’ve tried a couple times but the first few songs didn’t grab me so I always put something else on.

J Cole hasn’t made anything close to a great album.

I don’t listen to Da Baby, Future or Migos.

The list of 58 is for rappers who are better than Lupe. Not those who have better catalogs.

I still haven’t made the list of 50 discographies, but there will be rappers on there who make better music and thus have better catalogs, even if they don’t rap as well as Lupe.
