Why should he?

He’s been there and done that.

Even when he’s dabbled in working with Illmatic producers, American Way sounds nothing like One Love. Second Childhood sounds nothing like Memory Lane. Money Over Bullshyt sounds nothing like Life’s A bytch. The Art Of It sounds nothing like The World Is Yours.

If Nas continued to work with the same producers for his entire career he’d be Jeru The Damaja.

FACTUAL...

At this point in time, I'm over it. The fact is we've already heard the best work Nas is ever gonna do with Premier. We've heard the best song Nas is ever gonna do with Large. Nas and Pete Rock will never top The World Is Yours. Nas and Havoc at this point is better on paper than it would be in audio. Nas and Alchemist could still work but it's not a must...

Nas doesn't have to work with the same MFs he worked with forever ago... I WOULD like for him to work with some people on their skill level but it doesn't have to be them. It's not gonna be the instant magic people think it's gonna be, just because they did great things together in the 90s. shyt, we finally got two Nas/Pete Rock collabs last year, nikkas wanted that to happen forever... and nobody flipped on their ear for either one of 'em...

LIG felt like Ross picked the beats :yeshrug:

:ohhh: This is fire
If this album is wack it's entirely cause of Nas. Cause I know hit boy got some fire :yeshrug:.....he can make any style of hip hop.

But I have a good feeling about this. Mainly cause this quarantine life has forced people to be alone with their thoughts again. A lot of these artists fall off simply cause they don't have the time to be creative anymore. Nas always seems busy doing all kinds of shyt. Maybe this slow down in life has reignited the fire in him. I've seen it happen to a lot of people. Even Mike Tyson making a comeback :pachaha:

Hit Boy is a very capable producer. This is really all on Nas beat selection.

He has Dom Kennedy rapping over some fire. Unfortunately I think Don is horrible. Reminds me of a west coast French Montana

you guys do know that the producer has a hand in which beats he presents to the MC. If Hit Boy is like most producers he has a gang of beats set aside that he thinks work for Nas. HE should only be showing him ill shyt that he thinks will be good for Nas.

And no one cared bro. That’s the point.

Who don't care? :dwillhuh:

It seems like people are shytting on collaborations just to justify Nas choosing Hit Boy to do an entire project with....

I'm not a fan of Hit Boy but I'm still expecting a solid project from the 2 but y'all lying to yourselves if you wouldn't be more hyped for a Nas/Pete Rock album then Nas/Hit-Boy..

In the year 2020 I'm actually more hype for a nas and hit boy than a nas premo/pete. I always say Nas last album he ever does would be great to go back to where it all started. Right now its time for a new fresh sound. Hit boy can give you that hip hop Ish In a 2020 sound.
