I agree that wasn't a great decision at all by their team. Nothing else on that project sounded like that. I would have lead with the No Bad Energy.
Should’ve just lead off it’s the lost freestyle. Make a grimy video to it and just get the props instead he became a laughing stock on Twitter with jerreu rap.

Who don't care? :dwillhuh:

It seems like people are shytting on collaborations just to justify Nas choosing Hit Boy to do an entire project with....

I'm not a fan of Hit Boy but I'm still expecting a solid project from the 2 but y'all lying to yourselves if you wouldn't be more hyped for a Nas/Pete Rock album then Nas/Hit-Boy..

^^^^

these are the Nas fans that held Nas back. And then y'all wonder why he gets all this hate. LET THE NYGGA GROW. He 46 and its still we need PREMEEEEEE. lol

No one says Jay should be still working with Ski or Just Blaze and Ye. its a group that just continues to want some outdated Nas sound. Preme in my top 3 fav hip hop producers. Shyt he did for the last Gangstar album was straight zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz.

That makes no sense.

If you are a fan of NAS then you are anticipating whatever project he puts out. And using Pete Rock as an example of something that so called “fans” have been waiting for is faulty as Nas and Pete Rock don’t have this long history of collaboration. They made ONE timeless song 27 years ago. ONE. Its not like Nas/Premo, who have several classic songs to their name where it would make sense for those two to do an album. Or even Nas/AZ, who seamlessly fit together like a glove on tracks. Did people want to hear Nas and Pete do another song together? Sure. And we got TWO of them last year. But there wasn’t this huge contingent of fans or the culture who were clamoring for a Nas/Pete Rock album.

At this point in 2020 its time to let the “Nas does album with so and so” dreams die. Its not going to happen. Nas/AZ. Nas/Havoc. Nas/Premo. Nas/Alchemist. They are NOT going to happen. Nas is a soloist and doesn’t like being boxed in by expectations. He has said this himself. He’s constantly looking to challenge himself and find new avenues of inspiration. Hit Boy obviously awoke something in Nas that allowed him to sharpen his sword (Pen) and go to work. That should be exciting enough for all of his “fans” instead of whining and crying about producers from yesteryear.

I’d def say Life Is Good is better than 4:44. Both are dope but some of the chopping on 4:44 wasn’t smooth to me, and some of the tracks were middling. LIG has some middling tracks too but it’s better to me.

but I will say that Hov has been the better rapper over the last 4-5 years. Smaller sample size for Nas (Nasir and a small amount of features) but Hov’s flow sounds a lot more acrobatic these days. Nas is competitive so I view this upcoming album as his first real response. A (presumably) full length album, first since 2012. Lets go.
