It’s weird. I can’t consider LT2 an album on my mind. Not like the first one. The first one was recorded over a 3 year period. Nit to mention the perfect sequencing.

LT2 was recorded over a 10-15 year period. Anything with that long a time span I just can’t think of as an album. And I love LT2.

And dont forget the songs on Lost Tapes 1 were meant to be either on an album (I am) or were recorded during one of his best sessions ever (Stillmatic, and were actually on the) OG Stillmatic in some countries

Lost Tapes 2 on the other hand, was like you said off multiple albums over a longer stretch and also most did not like out on the mixtape scene so he was really putting stuff that was on the fence/incomplete and even went back and added verses. This is probably why it felt disjointed for some though I gotta say I liked how it turned out

The I in Team
Few listens in and honestly this album is incredible. It just is man. Like first listen I was like “this real good, vibe is there”. Go back and play some of the tracks that stuck with me...then I get the good headphones.. Press play and let the album breathe and feel that bass. Like Goddamn this shyts a vibe:ohlawd:. Smoky room feel, glass of yak. We 6 figure 6 certs in this bytch. Just drunk with the excess of it all.

Now a few listens in tracks I didn’t even feel the first time is just so incredible. Like the Cure with the beat flips. Definition. The whole album. It just flows so well. Just do yourself a favor with this album, get some good speakers..play it in your car. Let that shyt breathe.

I prefer the beats on LT2 over this one but I prefer the beats on this one over untitled. Nas the goat regardless but if he can clock time in with hit boy he better honor Preemo soon. I like the album but the RZA and PR beats on LT2 are better
I can relate to this sentiment. Nas did an excellent job crafting an amazing album with a lone, modern day producer. But there will always ALWAYS be a component of his fan base that will want to hear him on boom bap beats.

That’s how it goes when you have a career that spans three decades I guess.

I gotta say this sounds 10x better than "Nasir" and "Nas Lost 2" which anyone with half a brain knows were :trash:
Honestly album was :ld:wouldn't listen more than once only notable verse was Foxy's

production was mid nothing stands out nothing wack either
rapping was nothing special kelis took his flow in the divorce so I ain't gonna judge son too harshly for that :manny:

lyrical content was "aw here we go again"

like your drunk uncle that used to rap going off on tangents in-between sips of brew:russell:

overall it shows that Nas is played out and his fans are completely outta touch but its iight

Reminds me of Kool Moe Dee's 1994 album

Great value version of "Life is Good" not bad enough to hate, not good enough to fukk with either
unless your some type of fakkit on Nas' dikk 24/7 then I suppose its 10/10 but what wouldn't be you bytch ass homo? :jbhmm:

I give this shyt 3 outta 5 kufi slaps....might go down to 2 kufi slaps with time cause this shyt ain't gonna age well at all

People sleep on the lost tapes 2. That project is great!!! I think this entire time people wanted Nas on more modern production. Because this album is getting so much love and I don't skip a track. The production on the lost tapes 2 was great too me as well.

It’s one of my least favorite beats on the album. 27 Summers is my least favorite.
But Nas was dope on the song with Durk. Then Durk comes in with that mumble rap bullshyt

Hahahah spoken like one of the true “stuck in the 90’s n*ggas”.

believe me fam I felt the same way. Off first listen.

but after multiple listens, I gave in. You gotta agree at the very least, if one of the old school legends is gonna rap over the “n*ggaz in paris” producer’s beats, this is the way to do it. Nas was still spittin knowledge. The 90’s ain’t ever coming back so let’s let em live and appreciate one of our legends still doing it in 2020.

TELL ME YA CHEESIN FAM?

I walk around a little edgy already
