There’s literally nothing wrong with the production on this project whatsoever. See. It’s not Nas that’s the problem. It’s the fact that u don’t wanna hear Nas over certain shyt. And that’s fine. But don’t act like that’s a Nas problem. Nas been around 30 years. People have their favorite versions of him. It is what it is.

:dead:

Breh, are you Nas's guardian angel or something? Why do you feel such a need to defend Nas when he's not even being attacked? I actually agree 100% with your post, outside of this bizarre, out of left field sentence in bold.

:dahell:

What causes you to see a post that says that Nas is a "once in a lifetime gem of an MC" and praises his lyrics as being impervious to fault, yet interpret that as someone having a problem with Nas or them insinuating Nas has a problem to begin with??

It Never Ends, QB Politics, Highly Favored, Queens Wolf, Beautiful Life, Lost Freestyle etc etc.
U saying them tracks ain’t dope?

Queens Wolf is fire...but sounds unfinished, which is probably why he vaulted it. Beautiful Life is dope. Lost Freestyle is cool...but unfinished. It never ends is cool. Highly favored is okay. QB politics is fire...but unfinished. I'm not saying its absolute trash, its just light. A lot of unfinished shyt, some sloppy lazy rhyming, okay production at best, etc... IMO its like a 3.5, maybe...nothing about it makes me want to listen to it again

I think ur not comprehending what I’m saying. I’m not saying u have an overall problem with Nas. I’m saying UR problem with his production isn’t HIS choice in production isn’t HIS problem. It’s UR problem. Because there’s nothing wrong with the production itself. It’s just not UR vibe. What part of my post insinuated that I’m his guardian angel. U said he has a problem with picking beats. The beats on this album are fine. YOU just don’t like the vibe. But that ain’t HIS problem. That’s all him saying. The beats themselves are objectively dope and he objectively sounds good over them. Whether they are ur cup of tea or not. There’s other legendary producers praising this album’s production. It ain’t the beats fam. It’s you.

The Art of It?

Tanasia?

Royalty?

These did nothing for you?

Guess it just shows different strokes for different folks.

:manny:

In a year where I really only gave like 5 albums any serious repeated spins, LT2 was definitely high on that list for me. But I hear you on the unfinished sound on some of these. That didn't lessen the dopeness of it to me though. Some of my favorite "tracks" or verses from some artists are shyt they've done as radio promos or freestyles.

LT2 isn't 5 mics or anything, and there are a few tracks I skip (Who Are You, Adult Film, It Never Ends.....Alchemist was the biggest disappointment on this album to me. How the fukk you let Pharrell and fukking Swizz Beats outshine you Alan? :scust:)

But it was a very solid album to me and easily his best album since Stillmatic.

See. And “It Never Ends” is one of the songs I revisit the most on the album. The vibe as dope as fukk to me and it has alotta replay value. Sounds like the track coulda went right to Roc Marci or somethin. If Griselda or one of them had it nobody would say shyt.

Yeah, I can't get with this drumless wave that's taken over. The fact that Roc Marc can get away with it is more of a testament to how crazy dope he is, not that those beats are mind blowing. Roc Marc music from his U.N. and Flip Mode days is light years beyond the post 2010 version. And I still fukk with his newer shyt.

It Never Ends to me is just dull. I don't think it's wack, it just doesn't do anything for me. Alchemist is in my top 5 or 6 of all time. I expect way more from him in general, let alone a Nas collabo. He did "Tick, Tock" for Khrist sakes.

I disagree wholeheartedly. There’s a reason he became a legend off his post 2010 shyt.

This mf has a horrible ear for beats. I fukking hate hearing nas on these type of beats. Like they wasted a whole album with lackluster beats and talent.
