This mf has a horrible ear for beats. I fukking hate hearing nas on these type of beats. Like they wasted a whole album with lackluster beats and talent.

So why do you keep listening??? Who's holding the imaginary gun? Why keep forcing yourself?
Nas ain't for you my guy. Move the fukk along

I swear I find posts like this retarded
A damn turtle can reason better

I don't know what it is about Nas that makes everybody n they mama feel the need to share their opinion
Who's forcing y'all to listen n like the man?
Why can't y'all just don't bother
I really don't understand

Exactly. Homie needs to get the fukk outta here. If you're obsessed with beats, go listen to a beat tape.

We're in a NAS thread for lyrics and dope songs.

NY all day..Da Stead & BK..
I ain't bought a nas album since illmatic the album.
Nas has not been required culturally to support.
since the one luv remix twelve.

all you post sellout nas fans can kill all the old rock band talk in regards to me.
As you ain't been why i drew at all.
as a matter of fact your narcissism contributes partly
as to why things are the negatively the way they are, to keep it real.
since we wanna hide our hands.
As real talk,...
how are you saying that and you don't know this shyt frfr.
nikkaz be talking cancel culture but forgot about.
all the real culture based boycotts and why.

One of the few people who actually did support Illmatic with ur money. And u wonder why he switched it up? Tell all ur real hip hop head friends they should’ve bought the album too. Tell The Source not to snub him for Bad Boy at The Source awards.

Ehh wont speak for dude you quoted but as a Nas fan whos griped on his production not being as great or matching his lyrical ability a nikka will keep listening in hopes that he maybe delivers on what I as a fan am hoping for. Im not no super fan thats gonna excuse something if its trash. I may be a lil harsher on the artists especially when I hold em to higher regard than most. The problem with some fans/stans seems to be whenever theres a negative critique its automatically taken as hate.

Everywhere...You never there.
Durk def did his thing.

he did ... and I don’t think his intent on the lives matter line was meant for harm .

outside of AZ , Durk had the most memorable feature IMO. Surprised me :ehh:

Ferg did his thing too .

The features worked out well for the most part. Nas and Hit Boy did a good job of blending the styles and generations . Still sounds mature , yet updated.

Hate to say but I thought the “can’t miss feature” with the Firm was the weakest . AZ saved that .

And can we pleeeeease get AZ at LEAST a 4.5 mic album before he hangs it up . That man needs all hands on deck to get him a unanimous classic before he retires . He DESERVES that . Shyt start a gofundme for that man or something :damn:

Nas def bounced back on this album . He sprinkles gems throughout . Still talkin his shyt too . Solid , well crafted effort .

I’ll say this, if anyone upped their stock tremendously ... it’s Hit Boy :wow:

I expect him to be in demand exponentially more after this ... Negro probably bumped himself into the upper, upper tier of current producers with this .

He’s INCREDIBLY versatile . :wow:

I think @Ziggiy said in a previous post , he gives you glimpses of the stylings of many of his great predecessors on the boards.

I could see this effort catapulting him to getting some major pop placements. He’s gonna be sending out some big invoices very soon . :wow:

Super talented . :wow:

Finally listened to this in a proper setting, got my sour whiskey in me and in the whip. Yo real talk we need to protect this man!

This album was so needed for hip hop.

Could have done with fewer features, big sean verse was trash. Az brought his A-game to that track.

Kayne album was not good. Lost tapes 2 was good but this is wicked!
This is the kind of music that feeds the soul of the black community. This is what good music is supposed to do to a people. This is why in Africa they primarily communicated through music and song. I applaud Nas for using his immesuable talent to inspire and encourage the black community.

Anyone talking shyt about Nas will get slapped by me real talk.

:wow:

"Till the War is Won" Got me in me feels....:mjcry:..Nas speaking to the brothers and sisters in Chicago. I applaud him for addressing violence in the black community. We have to do BETTER! Black communities SHOULD NOT BE WAR ZONES!

Ft. Stewart, Ga
I went back to the Nasir thread, and mad people were giving it props. They weren’t saying it was the best LP, but giving it a solid 7-7.5. Others were hating simply because of the Kanye association, but there was definitely more positive feedback. Flashforward two years, and now everyone says it was trash and the only good song is “Adam and Eve.”

I like Nasir to this day. Its basically Kanye doing his best I Am era Nas production
