Nas is number 1 on itunes fam. He overtook The Crackers this morning:ufdup:

He’s number 1 AND number 3 (Clean) on Amazon Music

Number 1 on Apple Music (streaming)

He’s getting GREAT buzz and support. The last time he got this much groundswell acclaim was during Life Is Good.

Nasir sold 77K first week with a BOTCHED release, no single, no video, and Full blown MAGA Kanye doing his best to sabotage his own shyt.

We GETTING that 100K first week. I have spoken and so too shall it be.

I’m even willing to take a 2 week ban bet.

@FreshAIG or any other Mod can serve as witness.

150k First week

For Best Rap Album?

Definitely Drake if he drops next week

Childish Gambino even though be barely raps on 3.15.20.

Megan Thee Stallion dropped that Suga EP earlier this year and she’s had a hot year before the shooting fiasco so she might be in the running

I think a couple of “Lil this or that” dropped this year too.

Nas should have a stronger claim than all of them
at this point. His only competition at this juncture for Best Rap Album would be Drake (who took home the trophy in 2013 for Take Care, which disgustingly beat out Life Is Good)

Honestly I'd expect Eminem to win but we'll see. The rap Grammy voting board takes things a lot more seriously than they used to pre-2013, so maybe they do the right thing and pick virtually anyone else. But Em is still Em, and there are still enough white voters who will auto-give it to him to win if the black voters are split.

Others in contention: Gambino like you said, Uzi Vert, Drake (either for his recent album or the upcoming one), DaBaby (Interscope), Meg (Roc Nation), Roddy Ricch. If I had to bet money I'd say Em and Meg win most of the rap awards. Dark horse due to being independent: RTJ.

This is starting to be oddly reminscent of the before sequence of the announcement of Heath Ledger being the joker and the after praises of him killing it to the point nobody wanted anyone else to play him. My point, MOST OF YOU were dissing the idea of Hit Boy producing a whole Nas album and now yall want the chemistry to keep going after listening to this masterpiece :ahh:

Learn from history, protect Hit-Boy at all cost! :win:
