It does seem WAY TOO SOON between an annoucement and release for it to dropping especialy for a Nas album

Im ok if its just a single:hubie:
Nas has finally caught up with the times... there is no need for a album rollout anymore with singles and all that shyt...having us wait for months. Radio aint playing his shyt anyway.
just drop the shyt, all the big names do it

Thats how things are done now, NASIR and The Lost Tapes 2 dropped soon after the announcements.
You dont post such a teaser only for a track to be released ten days after, release dates are usually reserved for albums, mixtapes or EP, not singles.

Yeah I dont like that its like that now lol
But even with Nasir and Lost Tapes 2, Kanye announced it like 7 weeks before it dropped (and started on it 7 days before it dropped it seems lol) and Lost Tapes 2 was announced like 4-5 weeks out if I recall with one track released the week before.

I dont know I like the days where there was anticipation, a formal annoucement, the tracklist, the fake tracklist, the rumours, the joints released for the album, the joints released thats NOT gonna be on the album

Im used to that with him. All this quick dropping is wild

Which I'll be honest I dont know in 2020 how thats gonna be. I didnt hate Lost Tapes 2 at all and I was kinda shocked it caught so much hate. Nasir I understand. But in both cases I dont think they were that bad but holy shyt you saw the reaction not just on social media but with the critics :picard: Maybe cause artist are more diligent or theres still hang up on things in his personal life but he also doesnt critical love he did before even for other albums that werent all that to listeners.

That's just the usual Nas haters man. The "fukk Nas coalition". The man has been getting hate his whole career but he lets that shyt just roll off his back. As a longtime fan, LT2 was everything I wanted in a late career Nas project. Not saying it was the greatest album he ever dropped or anything but it definitely has a lotta heat on it.

I feel like a lot of dudes dissing Hitboy in this thread have never listened to the Chauncey Hollis project.

it’s the main reason I’m so excited about this.
Just gave that hit boy album a quick run

My worries have been dispelled:ehh:

I didn't think hit boy was wack just wasn't sure of his sound with Nas..

Hit Boy has an album with Nas and Benny coming out.. Good for him:ehh:

Think its an album. An old acquaintance of mine, Derrick Milano was posting about working with nas and hitboy a few months ago and he just made a post saying he got a joint on there so im guessin an album. Or the very least an ep

Is Derrick Milano a producer or rapper?
