Hold up, Lil Durk must have sold his soul. I'm seeing his name waaaay too much all of the sudden. I could see if he had some crazy hit or mistake that rose up, but nah. Something ain't right. :patrice:

Think Mega is much mature now though...think the Mega Philosophy exemplifies...raps about the culture & unity

In his recent interviews you can tell he's not a hot headed person no more plus Nas & Mega go way back before they was rapping...

think the last thing he did to disrespect Nas was when he went around the hood with Tony Yayo & Yayo was dropping Nas jokes & Mega was laughing...Yayo Said something a long the the lines..."You don't see Nas in the hood"

Funny though because Yayo looked mad uncomfortable in the whole video :mjlol:

Nas & Mega influence each other lyrically the style is damn near the same, I realized it when I listened to The Realness

Wherever nikkas need to be told on
Definitely got some youth on there but there are mostly singing features. Big Sean getting a placement. NaS was just on his album so they've worked together before. Again Durk, Ferg, Don and Fivio, these guys have been working, NaS giving the youth shine on his album.

I love how Nas doesnt hate on the new school brehs and continues to big them up and even work with them :wow:

Cant say the same about all the other :flabbynsick: OG's of the rap game steady hating

This is an underrated but important part of his legacy. There’s got to be that passing of the torch when it comes to rap continuing to move forward. Nas has influenced a lot of these younger guys. They grew up on his music. It’s dope to see him embracing these guys, acknowledging that he’s listening to them, affirming their contributions to rap, and being willing to collaborate with them. The culture dies or gets disconnected from its roots to the point where it’s unrecognizable if there’s not that kind of exchange. I think legends like KRS-One and G Rap did that for him and he’s definitely doing that for this younger generation. It says something about his willingness to adapt, to explore, to be open to newness, and to survive the times. And can you imagine the impact on a young cat who is serious about this rap shyt that a living legend is paying attention to what they’re doing, giving them props, and wanting to build with them. I definitely used to be (and probably still am to some degree) one of those trapped-in-the-90s nikkas (because that’s my golden era when it comes to my introduction to rap) and that means I’ve wanted Nas to do shyt he’s basically already done. But I’ve learned there’s something to be said for artists and their creative process—they need to try different shyt and experiment with different ideas thematically, lyrically, and sonically. Nas is a true artist in that vein. As I’ve gotten older, I’ve realized the young nikkas are always creating dope, fresh shyt. It just might sound different than what I grew up on. As I’ve hopefully gotten wiser, I’ve realized the importance of staying connected to what’s going on today, building bridges between the old and new, and investing in the future. I think Nas understands all of that. He is an elder statesmen in rap now. I think he gets his place in rap. He’s been in the game 25+ years. He’s one of the GOATs. Ain’t nothing changing that. He fortunately is getting to see shyt what we wished some of our other rap heroes and legends had the opportunity to see—the impact on those he has inspired. And he’s doing this shyt so gracefully too by his efforts to stay connected with this younger generation and his willingness to work with the young artists. I’m excited he’s giving the young talent some shine. I think it helps him to remain relevant too. Lastly, by his sharing his platform it introduces some of us old heads to some of the younger artists who we’re either unaware of or who we have been ignoring. I know some of these cats but I can’t say I’m as familiar with all of them. Can’t wait to hear what they bring. I know Nas gon deliver some gems! A few more days brehs. :ohlawd:

We just gotta make sure we are streaming the album. Don't download it on your streaming service. It doesnt count towards streams for some reason. Either play it from the main screen or create your own playlist.
