Its funny Nas said he had a project coming that he couldn’t talk about...

At the time I was thinking the DJ Premier produced album, but after the footage of him and Dre I was thinking it HAD to be a Dr Dre produced Nas album...

In 2006 right after Hip Hop Is Dead dropped Nas said that one of his plans was to do a DJ Premier produced album and a Dre produced album and drop them on the same day.

So I was thinking maybe he replaced Premo with Hit Boy and he was going to do a “Summer” album (Hit Boy) and a “Winter” album (Dre)

BUT

What if the second album is a FIRM ALBUM:ohhh: And Nas is getting to actually re-produce the plan that fell through twenty years ago.

Firm introductory track on a Nas album (it was written/King’s Disease) and then a full OG Firm album produced by Dre:gladbron:
:unimpressed:yall nned to stop

I like ultra black but I feel like I would have loved it more if I heard it within the flow of the album. Never the less can't wait till Friday.

HipHopDX says all the production is handled by Hit Boy. No outside producers.

I love Ultra Black so lets see what else Hit Biy had up his sleeve. Nas seems SUPER hyped on Instagram, he’s posted more in the last couple days than he has in like 4 years lol so I know he feels good about the project.

I’m REALLY getting Life Is Good type energy from this rollout and how happy people who have heard it or been involved seem to be.

Also a lot of this (in my opinion) seems to uphold my theory that Nas was really waiting to get off Def Jam and be 100% on Mass Appeal before he dropped a “true” album. Thats what I attributed to the long wait from LIG to Nasir. Nasir was just a much a strategic move as it was an album. Nas got to knock out 7 songs, get Kanye production, and then get off Def Jam. NOT to say that Nasir was a throwaway because I don’t believe Nas would ever do that with a project. Just that working with Kanye helped him
Get off DJ without having to give them a full album.

Now he can truly cut loose. I’m SUPER excited for not only this album, but what he’s planning and cooking up for the years to come

This board will be on fire Thursday night until 12 am. BTW, is anyone's Ultra Black track (on iTunes) greyed out? Mine says song not currently available? I wasn't able to play it this afternoon when leaving work,
