As fans I think even if we don't know nas personally, we know some of things people spew is just false. Sometimes its impossible as a fan not to comment on the nonsense. Its definitely good that nas nas thick skin and doesn't care what they say. He continues to do what he wants to do. I can't wait for kings disease. I know this is about to be the album of the year.

The thing is caring can cause you to go insane bc as you said it is impossible to ignore when you care. In order to protect yourself from the vultures you must develop thick skin and that’s damn near true within most industries but especially when you are in an industry that gives people free will to disrespect you and judge you bc society gives them the freedom to do so. I had to learn this the hard way. In order to succeed, be happy with your choices in life and keep true to your values you can’t allow the negative words of others to pierce your heart.

There are artists that live for the praise they get & as soon as they are negatively criticized they break and are ready to throw in the towel bc of other people’s unrealistic expectation about another man/woman’s art. Wanting to be accepted or praised is a hell of a drug. You have to be happy with doing you.

I agree that’s why I sometimes jump on and defend Nas as well but it comes to a point that you have to ignore the bull bc if not you will be “aggravated” and “disheartened“ words that I’ve used on here as well as seen otherS post. When in reality we should be just embracing hearing another Nas album in 2 days. Don’t get distracted by the distractors and make the thread about them instead of about Nas. There people that I view on this forum that comes in here just to be negative bc it s more than likely the only time they get attention. No nikkas is just bytchin to bytch. Nas got a track with Benny. That is confirmed. Maybe it’s not on his album for a reason. I think Roc Marci is better than every nikka that came out post 2010. Nas don’t got sings wit certain legends even from his era that he cool wit since he been out. Such as Redman etc etc. Not everybody works with nikkas YOU want them to work with. I feel like Roc Marci should work with Spitta since the both close to the same people, they both can get on a similar vibe, and both seem to be fans of eachother. But that don’t mean imma bytch and complain when they got albums out and don’t work with eachother. Ransom literally JUST getting his buzz back up. I fukk with Graph but come the fukk on. nikkas need to get the fukk off this shyt. And u know what’s funny? Nas can do all those things.
