as per my similar point above, I don’t disagree in the sense I feel Nas has rhymed over some pretty mediocre beats. But my issue with this narrative is, this issue is true of basically every rapper. But yet only Nas gets hit with this. Jay, Biggie, Pac whoever. All rhymed over wack/ average beats but no one assessing them because of it so consistently
I think the difference is that their batting average of dope beats over the last x years/projects is better. Especially Hov. How many wack beats has Hov rapped over since The Black Album, which was nearly flawless beat wise? When we clowned Kingdom Come and MCHG it was due to the raps, not the beats.

Biggest difference will always be that Hov had in house producers who turned out to be GOAT candidates (Kanye and Just Blaze).

What beats exactly are those from each album because there is about 14 songs from each album, so which songs are underwhelming beat wise?

10 points is my favorite beats on this...liked spicy and car 85 too...just wasn't really a fan of the overall sound personally

Plenty of wack beats and songs jayz has rapped over. They just dont get highlighted plain and simple. People run with narratives because they are sheep.

No Youtube doesn’t count.

Streaming via

Apple Music
Amazon Music
Tidal

Or purchasing via

ITunes
Nasirjones.com

Count towards his sales.
Looks like YouTube counts, as does Spotify.

Billboard has announced that YouTube streams will be factored into the Billboard 200 albums chart starting early next year. Video streams from other platforms will also count, including Apple, Spotify, Tidal, and Vevo, and Billboard says the change will also impact genre album consumption charts, like country, Latin, and others. Billboard’s charts have historically been seen as a barometer of success within the music industry.

The changes kick into effect next month, beginning with charts dated January 18th, 2020.

Billboard is changing its albums chart to count YouTube streams

I'm pretty sure that photo of Nas at the beach in L.A. with Puff, Swizz, Migos, Travis Scott is part of a new video.
on a side note, i was listening to Choke No Joke not saying he always on point or i agree with everything he says but he mentioned Foxy saying she the first Bonnie it makes sense that it might be a shot at Jay/beyonce more so Jay or along those lines perhaps. After all, that Aint No nikka song with Jay really gave Jay that boost.
personally I dont think it was a shot but more so of a "reminder" "let people know type of vibe"
