This is looking to be not only hip hop album of the year but possibly literal AOTY across ALL GENRES. This almost easily surpassed every hip hop album released this year, and should bear minimum be nominated for AOTY for the Grammys.

Average score= 4.25 mics

I'm getting rid of 40 Side, EPMD 2, and YKTV.

Agree with the ratings except No Phony Love and Brunch on Sundays are both a 4 to me. They flow well and add balance to the album. Not the best songs but I'm not skipping them. It's a 4.5 album.

People here over the top hating on ems verse are just as corny as the em fans over the top loving it. I thought he did his thing.

favorite tracks off first listen are store run, moments, 40 side, composure, and rare. Whole this is dope tho. Nas really might have the best catalogue of any rapper ever. GOAT shyt.

Extremely fukked up for hitboy to shyt on kanye like that
:heh:Tell that goofy ass pretentious Kaufman wannabe to drop the album then and quit stunting

So now for the score keepers, that’s Mach, Tyler and Nas all recently dropping MONSTER albums without any unnecessary escapades or excessively leaning on everyone else in the culture banding together to bail them out of a creative rut

I'll keep it 100, Before KD1 I was never a big fan of Hit boy beats.....always thought he was more of a trap/ mumble rap/ commercial producer.....but he showed his versatility working with Nas.....some of the beats are a tad minimalist for my taste, or have no melody, like YKTV, and the Lauryn track (no build up) but those little jazzy infusions in some of the songs fit Nas well..... some of the beats are very Low End Theory-ish to me, if that makes sense.

But low key does anyone miss having a Primo or Pete Rock or Alchemist banger on there? On some Nas is Like or You Da Man type vibes?
You already do. If you didn’t know this was a Hit Boy exclusive, Store Run woulda been the Just Blaze or Alchemist type joint nikkas been begging for for years

There’s beats on here that are better than You’re Da Man’s beat, no disrespect to Large cuz that’s a timeless classic.
