Yeah... Lupe is going crazy over Nas' opening bars on "Nobody".
Lupe on IG begging AZ to get on a Nobody Remix lmao
Its more of a bonus track than a closer. The closing to the album is The Cure.I'm KD back again rn and I agree with whoever in here that got clowned for saying it kind of feels more like a collection of songs than a cohesive vision. It's still a great album and one of my favorites from last year but that's a valid complaint.
I mean, was Spicy always the last track? I haven't run thru the whole album in a while but I don't remember that lmao. Really doesn't work as a closer imo.
Hit-Boy on the beat, this shyt slapped again. Man, Hit-Boy created another soundscape that is easy and enjoyable to listen to. That man is talented as fukk. I just hit play and let it ride. He’s been amazing for Nas’s career. Their chemistry is crazy. He gives Nas a musical backdrop where Nas can share his perspective as a now elder statesman and definite living legend in hip-hop. Nas is absolutely in a different space as far as his rhyme scheme, lyricism, and concepts but I really enjoy him embracing his role as a veteran in the great rap game, his reflections on surviving the times, his reminiscing, the nostalgia for his hood, his relationships with women, the random musings about where he’s at in his life. KD2 is definitely a worthy follow-up to KD1 which I also thought was a strong effort. The replay-ability for both albums is high for me. Love the collabs on KD2 with Lauryn Hill and Charlie Wilson the most but just like the first joint all the features are good. Standout cuts for me are Rare, Store Run, Moments, Nobody, No Phony Love, Brunch on Sunday, and Nas is Good but I like everything. No weak joints. I’ve been playing the album front to back on a loop since last night. I feel like Nas has been in rare air as far as rap careers go but he’s been doing it gracefully. I’ve grown up with his music and he’s always been my favorite rapper. I’m just happy he’s still doing his thing. Salute to the kid from QB!
. Give this man his 2nd Grammy now, might as well. Its more of a bonus track than a closer. The closing to the album is The Cure.
