Yeh I word of mouth and fans talking doing a lot. Critic reviews only at 4. I think you or someone said some albums don’t get that many reviewing. Seems crazy as 2 of the 4 so far UK websites not even US. Perhaps if Nas hits number 1 for the week it will get more critic reviews and therefore more plays/ promotion

this album deserves the word spread of how good it is (even if I think most critics terrible 90% of the time)

This is it!!! I’ve seen people who I’ve been telling Nas is the goat for years say they think KD2 is a masterpiece! And brunch on sundays has been on damn near every girl IG and Facebook highlight

I mean yea that was before it dropped tho I believe. I’m just surprised it ain’t really how it was last year with him. Nas jumped out of his character to support the hell out of him this year. Just an observation nothin serious. I’m sure they spoke.

Timing has a lot to do with it too. Dipset vs The Lox and the stuff going on with Kanye hogged the limelight last week. The buzz around Jada for his verzuz performance was argubly bigger than the buzz Nas had for KD1.

Nah u right. It was def a bigger deal last year. On top of that he went on a promo run. Doing interviews n all that.

People were home at the height of the Pandemic when KD1 was released. They had more time on their hands, I guess.

There are many factors but the biggest was that we were in the middle of the pandemic (which means everybody was stuck in their house and on the net) and nas was dropping his first album in a few years/since Nasir
