Am I only one that has I AM and Street's Disciple in the 4/4.5 Mics tier :lupe:

but has Distant Relatives, Untitled and Nasir in the 3/3.5 Mic tier :patrice:

Those albums get a varying amount of criticism, I just revisited Untitled and it's definitely in a higher tier, but I get it.

Link me to the roasting lol

I AM received 4.5 because The Source heard the OG version which got bootlegged heavy and Nas and Columbia went out and put new songs on it and we got the new version and The Mind Squad had to change the review and they criticize some of Nas choice's for songs but they didn't Change The Mic's rating. 4.5 Mics mean Superior, And I AM is not equal or better than IWW, I give it 4 Mics

And I don't have a problem with Street Disciple getting 4 Mics if they gave it 3.5 I wouldn't have problem because let's be honest, Fans and Hip Hop publications Especially The Source always give Nas the benefit of the doubt. Illmatic gave Nas a lifetime pass and he benefit from it greatly

I'm convinced this dikkbrain get hired to just fukk with music heads because controversial ratings=webpage hits.

It is better to ignore sites like Pitchfork and Complex because they just in this game to cause confusion.

This is all wrong. There was never an OG version of I Am... that leaked. The Source reviewed the same retail copy of the album that hit shelves. They never changed their review. The retail album received 4.5 Mics. The actual review scanned directly from the magazine was posted in a thread on here. I know, because I'm the one that posted the other page.

True.. I think the Vibe review is the one that was of the bootleg version.

Naw homie sorry to break it to you:pachaha:
But you got another case of the Infamous Coli Booth nikkas Revisionist History:russ:

Let me go upside your head and knock some sense into you to unjogged your memory and for all those posters who dapped who share the same memory

Nas had intended his third album, I Am…The Autobiography, to be an ambitious, sprawling double disc — the first following him from birth to suicide, the second chronicling his return to Earth as a Jesus-like prophet.

This version of the album received rave reviews, including four-and-a-half mics from The Source, but about half of the album leaked online and Nas or Columbia Records (or both) decided to scrap the double album idea, remove numerous songs, record a few new ones, including the Puff Daddy-featured “Hate Me Now,” and release I Am… as a single disc that understandably sounds schizophrenic and contradictory.

Now are you sure what you posted is correct:russ:
