Some of Nas best 3 song sequences on his albums
Illmatic- NYSOM, Life's a bytch, World is Yours
IWW-Suspect, Shootouts, Live nikka Rap
I Am- NYSOM 2, Hate Me Now, Small World
God Son- Revolutionary Warfare, Dance, Heaven
Stillmatic- You're the Man, Rewind, One Mic
King Disease 1- King Disease, Blue Benz, Car 85
Untitled- Testify, Slave & The Master, Untitled
LT 2- Art of it, Highly Favored, Queens Wolf
LIG- Stay, Cherry Wine, Bye Baby
LT- U gotta love it, Nothing Lasts Forever, No ideas Original
Distant Relatives- Strong Will Continue, Leaders, Friends
Nastradamus- Shoot em up, Last Words, Family
Other albums not included because I didn't find 3 cohesive songs that I liked:manny:. Where does the Store Run, Moments, Nobody rank:jbhmm::damn:

I know you didn't ask, but I'll include these albums:

Street's Disciple - War, Me & You, Thief's Theme
HHID - Not Going Back, Still Dreaming, Hold Down the Block

HHID was hard to choose from because there are multiple three-song sequences I liked.

Ran Kings Disease back, smh that shyt is a classic. Don’t see how some fans dislike it.

I'm hoping it doesn't get to a point where people start dismissing King's Disease just because this one is better. We needed an album like that last year with all of the horrible shyt going on.

And without it, we wouldn't get this album. I hope people understand that. You don't get King's Disease II without King's Disease. The foundation was built last year, that's why this sequel had credibility before it came out. If the original KD sucked, nobody would have been interested in this one.

Godfather and Godfather II. That's how I see these albums.

Yea even I was getting there and I had to run it back to make sure. Car 85 and till the war is won are my favorite songs out of the whole series so far.

You caught that too? Now, I'm thinking it's intentional because every time I hear the song, I'm like, "This sounds like Biggie's second verse."

His first verse, he says he's studying Biggie. Then he starts the next verse imitating him, and ends it by referencing the same song he imitated. He made all of that connect, and you don't even realize it until you see it pointed out. :ohhh:

That's a sign of first-level writing. :wow:

It was definitely intentional. Nas is the greatest lyricist of all time, and it's verses like this that show it. There's alot of Hip Hop fans that get wow'd by punchlines and all, but he's the best there has been at painting a picture. I first heard that verse and went nuts, you could picture Nas at the casino playing blackjack with some random chick...

Who else can make a song out of a real life run in with Pac.... and make it sound like a banging Pac record? Its next level writing....

Stated perfectly breh. Even tho I think KD2 is miles better, KD1 will always be the OG that got us here, and it came out at the perfect time.

Who knows, we might be looking funny at KD2 after Nas next dope project

Kings Disease won AOTY here by an incredibly large margin, won a Grammy, and had an incredible amount of praise from mad people. It's a great album, and i wouldn't be surprised if anyone preferred it over this.

Kd3 - The Trifectum

This will be his true second magnum opus. I'm expecting a modern day Illmatic.

It's really scary to imagine them topping this, but it's only been months since the last one came out. I don't think they're fukking around at all either, Nas is killing beats effortlessly and Hit Boy is just getting better and better.

I think they elevated each other. Nas is solidified as a GOAT, but these last two albums really deaded a lot of the criticism that Nas has gotten for beat selection and not being able to flow over more modern production.

Hitboy has always been great on the beats, but his work with Nas really showcased his skill as a producer. Before, we could only point a few of the classic beats he's made. Now we can talk about albums in regard to Hitboy. That's really the mark of a true producer: crafting entire albums and taking artists to new places and heights.

What's crazy is that Nas has now made better music with Kanye's mentor (No I.D.) and one of Kanye's proteges in Hitboy than he has with Kanye.

Honestly I don't think Kanye and Nas are a good fit creatively. If it was pre Graduation or so sure, but they're in completely different arenas musically, and Kanye's prime is long gone. Plus it seems as if he spent the least amount of time on Nasir compared to the rest of the Wyoming albums.
