See, now that i've had much more time to indulge in the album, i get what some of the minority of haters are talking about. In the past few albums, Nas hasn't had that POWERFUL STREET record that he's always had on the majority of his albums. He don't have that NYSOM, that Nas is like, that "The flyest", "Loco motive". This is where Premier would fit perfectly on the next album, cuz really, i think that's HitBoy's only flaw. He can't recreate that NY SOUND that Nas provides at least once in all of his albums. I mean, i don't really care for it too much at this point in his career, but for those saying "Nas ain't the same, he needs so and so" at least one street record will get these dudes to stfu a bit :blessed:

:russ::comeon: You jumped the shark with this.
How so? If the limit was three, just delete one of the songs on either end. I personally think Sekou Story is the “weak” link of these four, but it ties into Live Now because he’s “Scarlet” in both songs. Just a Moment is one of the best songs on the album.

Nas doesn’t need Premier to make a street banger, he’s already done so with the likes of Salaam Remi, No ID, & Chucky Thompson (RIP).

If Nas wanted a banger from Hit Boy, the man who made nikkas In Paris, Backseat Freestyle, Sicko Mode, and Racks In The Middle, he would.

Its obvious that Nas is on another wave right now. I think its obvious that at THIS stage of his career his focus is less on street songs and more on uplifting motivational music. Ultra Black & Rare are indicative of this point

Streets Disciple is underrated as fukk. Thats the album that made me a life long Nas fan

That album rollout and hype for it, knowing it would be a double album and then theifs theme - coupled with just really coming into my teen years - probably my favorite Nas era nostalgically.

I feel you but son is doing deals with billionaires and sipping rare cognac in castles with the Hennessy family. Kd 2 is a snapshot of where he is in 2021…a king building his empire.

If he did do some raw, pissy staircase shyt, haters would say he’s a 47 year old multi millionaire who has dealings with Silicon Valley, he’s not in the streets anymore. Lol

A gutter street anthem is probably the last thing on his mind

If KD3 drops and sounds better than 2 and 1 you gonna get pple relagating KD2 to a 4mic album like they doing with KD1:martin:

I'm not going to lie KD2 definitely made me downgrade KD1 to a 3.5. I still love some of its highs like Car 85 and The Cure for example but overall. KD2 is just far more consistent with high level songs. The beats and Nas' rhymes were both better fused this time.

:russ: Only Nas fans will drop a rating of an album because they doubted he can come with a better album, so they think "oh Kings Disease must of not been that good then":francis:

KD 1 is still a dope album to me. They're kind of apples and oranges in that first one is showing Nas can flex on modern production and songs (you could have had a lot of sngles off that if it was on a major) and KD 2 is showing Hit going in his bag to give a classic 90s sound in some places that fits Nas and his fans familarity
