I think people took this feeling from the listening event session which had the unmastered version, had the rushed feeling before the album dropped bcoz of drop delay as well. people hated the singing on Everything before the album even dropped. Just check the Nasir thread.
i listened to the album without that background and loved it. could it have been better yes. But one of may fav Nas joints Adam & Eve is just :wow:
i also loved the fact that he used that album as get outa Defjam card and end the hiatus.

Like 100 of yall have said already, it's crazy how many times I've had a different favorite song on this album, :ohhh:. Since it dropped I've had at least 5 different songs that I thought were my favorite...this week so far it's "No Phony Love", :wow:. We need a video or sumn.

Nas actually sounded more comfortable on KD and KD2 which makes sense cause it was just him and Hit Boy in the studio whereas he said the vibe in Wyoming was weird and Nas didn’t even hear the beats until the listening party on QB

KD and KD 2 sound like they were produced by a guy who actually cared. Nasir sounds like it was incomplete and has too many joints with a low BPM and the drums don’t snap. Hit Boy clearly put more effort into the production than Kanye did and it shows.

mans was on point but needed production to match him, which Hit Boy delivered

I didnt mean to suggest that Nas sounded washed, just that he didn't sound right - except on Adam & Eve and maybe Cops Shot The Kid. Never liked those beats on White Label or Not For Radio.

Honestly I just think my expectations were way too high. Seeing how Daytona turned out and then even Cudi album I was pissed at Kanye for fukking up a Nas album.

Man fukk Kanye...
