Finally talked to my Nas hating brother about the album lmao. For reference his favorite rappers are Lupe, Hov, Mos, and Prodigy. Favorite Nas album outside of Illmatic is Stilmatic but has been hating on Nas since we were kids. Long story short he admitted he fukks heavy with KD2. Wasn't a big fan of KD1 but thought it was solid.

I had breh admitting he's not sure 2021 Jay can drop a better album.

I swear. nikkas talk all this shyt about “Nas stans” or whatever on this site. But a lot of these nikkas is weirdos and have a weird hate for dude. From the thread where his man’s got shot to the thread about the Pac chain. Just weirdo shyt.

Pac is my #2 (after Nas) and I won't argue with those who have him at #1 but alot of of Pac stans get heated when they have to acknowledge that Pac was influenced by or admired Nas, and the guy you're arguing with in that thread about the chain is one of those types:russ:

Now all we doing is talking about LIG and demeaning other shyt to prop up KD2 :mjlol:

Nas is the only rapper that has to compete with his prior classics EVERY SINGLE TIME he opens his mouth :dead:

You dudes are insufferable. There's never dudes screaming like this page after page about previous albums when other greats drop.

Where as Nas shyt goes on for days and days. His stans are just as guilty as his haters.

Time to unsticky this thread.

And since when does an album have to have no skips in order to be a classic?

All Eyez On Me and Ready To Die both have a skip or two

Don't ya'll change the criteria for Nas :martin:

Now this I can agree with you on and I say this as an unapologetic NaS stan.

Although this album is new, I revisited it last night. I listen to a lot of different genres depending on where my head is at. I preordered this album and listened to it that night and the next day or so. I didn't really touch it too much after that, and not because I didn't like it but because I was more in a Rock kind of mood. What's crazy is, I've been waking up for the past several mornings with a beat that I couldn't get out of my head. I didn't know where it was from. I thought it was something from Adult Swim that I heard one late random midweek night.

For whatever reason I put on KD2 last night while faded, and come to find out it was Count Me In. All this time that song was in my head and I couldn't figure where it was from and NEVER would have thought it was a Nas track. That said, Nas and Hit is a great combination. I really appreciate them for this album. Whomever that cocksucker is at Pitchfork needs a hole in the head, cuz this is easily one of the best Hip Hop albums I've heard in my life.

That’s EXACTLY what Count Me In reminds me of the most! Adult Swim’s bumper music from back in the day when they was playing some stuff from Dilla or Flying Lotus new albums at the time :ahh::ahh:

Bro them nikkas is my 1a and 1b. shyt is weird. They both were influenced by eachother and admired eachother. nikkas is mad for no reason. Like. How u gonna bring up Nas making a song like Pac when in real time Pac literally took a song from Nas’ album he just did months prior and redid it. Lol. It’s insane.

funny because I was thinking to myself that 2nd beat when it comes on in Rare gave me early 2000's Toonami commercial vibes lol

this also happened to me when I heard the beat change in The Cure from KD1
