love that track can’t believe it got cut. great thing is he has a enough good fans like us to keep him in business

I remember during the press run for Life Is Good and Nas was specifically talking about this song and how it came really close to making the album but I guess they figured having this and Bye Baby on the final tracklisting would have been redundant.

I understand the thinking because at the time Bye Baby really seemed like a perfect album closer.

I think Beautiful Life would've served better to wrap the shyt up and it's the better song as well.

I love beautiful life but the speech at the end was unnecessary. It brings a passive aggressive tone for the track. Bye baby is more positive and better suits the vibe of the album. And Aaron hall is a nice addition

If we talkin bout the LIG non deluxe version. This is better. Being that the deluxe version of LIG is literally the only version I ever purchased or listened to. KD2 is around the same tier to me. I wouldn't be made if someone felt LIG is better and vice versa. I will say LIG has higher highs. KD2 is more consistent throughout.
I think LIG is better by a decent amount especially as a full fledged body of work album wise thematically cover art to music

Way more tracks that stuck to the ribs Daughters, Cherry Wine, Stay, Queens Story, Back When, You Wouldn’t Understand

Life is Good sounds way bigger this is more calm

One last thing, Nas is not doing a verzuz to play the "hits" these playlists y'all keep making ain't it.
He'll do songs that emphasize his penmanship n mc skills. To show his opponent they not on the level
THE ARTFORM of this hip hop shyt

Imagine doing Undying Love LIVE with actors n shyt. Same for One Mic ..
Now that's thinking like a SCIENTIST

I think he would do a mix of both.

Life is Good and KD2 are both classics. Different bodies of work. The great thing about Nas projects is it let's you know where he currently. You can see his growth even from life is good to KD2. I just love what hit boy has provided nas with KD1 and KD2. The albums are so well rounded and beautiful sonically. It fits perfect for this day in age in rap music, but it still fits Nas. That Nas and Hit Boy combo is special.

Wherever nikkas need to be told on
It's okay to keep the mystique, I learned that in the street
On me, solo or deep, I'm puttin' on for the G's
We been doin' gangsta shyt for a long time
Look inside my mind, see a gold mine
I'm my own cosign, she textin' the old line
You keep starin' at the glow, bytch, don't go blind
Braveheart energy, fukk all of the enemies
