Outside of "Illmatic" Nas is severly underrated by the masses and media.

Nas is an extremely underrated goat. He has gotten credit for KD2 but no where near enough.

Can we PLEASE. For the love of everything good and righteous stop pretending that Life Is Good doesn’t exist:mindblown:

Life Is Good was extremely critically acclaimed when it came out (81% Metacritic) topped the charts. And made CNN crown Nas the greatest rapper of ALL TIME and The Source to name him the second best lyricist of ALL TIME behind only Rakim.

Hey woah woah zig. I've championed life is good as classic every chance i get. My point is I still feel that there is side of Nas that is severely underrated. I will never downplay the greatness of life is good.

Yup. There's ALOT of rewriting of history when it comes to Life Is Good and it's extremely weird. That nikka had super hype around that time. Even Nicki got him in her video and was kissin all over him and was bragging online about it.

Leading into Life Is Good must've been like '95 Nas only the 2011/2012 version. He was killing everything:

Common- Ghetto Dreams

Lil Wayne- Outro

Rick Ross- Triple Beam Dreams (this IMO was "Verbal Intercourse" level Nas)

Tyga- King's

Nicki Minaj- Champions

MMG- This Thing Of Ours

Chris Brown- Mirage

The Ebro interview on Apple Music was good, but I'd still like to see Hitboy and Nas do a joint interview. Something in-depth. Maybe even going through each song on the tracklist.

Yea I believe they did a joint interview last year for KD but with hit boy leveling up and going stupid behind the boards for KD2 a duo interview is needed. I’m still amazed at how dope the production is on this and yet the variety of sound is immense. Doesn’t sound like one producer at all.

I don't think anyone is downplaying Life Is Good as much as they are saying King's Disease II is just THAT good. If someone feels KD2>>>>>>, I don't see how that's disrespect.

I think this argument demonstrates the strength of his catalogue

LIG is a top 5 Nas album to me, I now put KD2 in that select group

The diff to me is how Nas was still effortlessly flowing on LIG...I don't think his flow will ever be that crisp again, that's no knock on him, bc for a damn near 50 yr old, he will outbar a lot of rappers, but you can't have your peak flow forever

KD2 was better sequenced, the mature themes of LIG has propelled him since, both had quality production...this KD2 feels diff tho

Nas's flow is better on KD2 imo. Seemed like he was rushing on some of the songs on LIG. On some songs it worked like Queens Story or Nasty. But 2021 Nas would do more justice to stuff like Reach Out and No Introduction where it felt like he didn't need to be on 10. Nas's flow on Death Row East is sharper to me than most of LIG and closer to how he was effortlessly killing shyt on Godson.

Honestly the pockets Nas is finding on KD2 is one of the best things about it to me.
