He’s got limited subject matter and exposed himself on this track. Literally couldn’t talk about ANYTHING else other than flipping bricks

He actually doesn't have limited subject matter. "A World So Cold" came out in 2009. He had songs like "Practice" on "Bandana".

He can do other shyt but he just apparently doesn't know how to read a room. This wasn't the track for drug talk.

Fred.

I enjoyed it as a updated version. Call me an old head purist, lol But I lived with the demo way to long. This version is just a little too clean since it's modern day but Hit Boy did fine updating it....it's just missing that raw 90's sound. NaS definitely sounds much older singing too, lol. But I liked it. Corde did pretty good and Freddie came through straight. Liked how everyone sung the chorus too. The "Back to the future" bar was cool as well. Can't put it over the OG though, even if it wasn't completed. The Beat just had that "ILLmatic" vibe to it. I honestly never knew Easy did the original beat because again it was a demo track. Plus it was cool to always hear that song as it felt like NaS was trying things out. But that's dope he ended up completing a demo track.

Classic original version and AMAZING re-do. The new one came out and was a nice surprise. Either as part of his Lost Tapes series or and occasional one off, I would like to see Nas update some of his older unreleased material in the same way that he and Hit did. Updating his more popular unreleased tracks with or without a feature is, IMO, an easy win for Nas. Especially in between albums unless, of course, he is going to drop a classic project like Magic.
