:wow: :wow: How this didn't make it I'll never understand :mjcry:. How this nikka leftovers competes with other dudes' best shyt. That's real GOAT shyt:wow::banderas:

Amazing song. My only guess on why it never got put on an album is cuz it does play into the "Nas fell off" narrative and he maybe realized he didn't wanna bolster that opinion. I think in that Lost Tapes retrospective Mass Appeal did (or maybe another interview) Nas said he wasn't sure how people would react when he was doing the real conceptual songs like Rise & Fall, Drunk By Myself, Fetus, Amongst Kings, etc. and thought that some would think they were too weird. Those songs are some of his best. So it's either that or a sample issue.

Another funny thing is when Nas did an interview on Charlie Rose, Rose recited the "Pablo Escobar's bloody reign came to an end" bars...I was like man how the hell does Charlie Rose know Rise & Fall? Somebody working on his show was a Nas stan lol

Ran this back over the weekend. It is still crazy how cohesive it is and how incredible the songs are for this to be a "lost tapes". This is on par or better than his best albums.
It's 3rd or 4th to me it doesn't have the ultimate highs like Stillmatic. To me it's more cohesive it's literally crazy how good this album is :dead:
