Wu for the Children is so f'n fire...I woulda ranked it the same as you the first day hearing it...now that shyt is like a 9 easy.

Listen everybody has their opinions and I can understand where you coming from. I just don't think it's better than the worst track on Magic. Magic makes me feel like when I first put Stillmatic cd in my car and heard the intro. Makes me feel like when I put that illmatic tape in the first time and had to shovel the driveway. Didn't want to stop shoveling lol. It's a top 3 Nas album for me and I love LT. My Way is my anthem.

I'm not mad at that. Nothing Lasts Forever is one of those songs that's gotten better and better to me as I get older.

There's definitely something about Magic that makes it just really fun to listen to. Outside of the quality of the individual songs. Don't know if it's the sequencing or the pace or what.

Yeah it's dope. It has definitely grown on me. I can probably bump it up to a solid 8.

I've seen a few people say this about Wu for the Children. How did y'all not know it was fire on first listen? lol

I liked it from the start but I think the reason it's getting this response is it's an outlier sonically from the rest of the album. The softer, drumless beat. But then you got Nas spitting and airing grievances, it's a combo that grows on you

Good article if being fair and although many of us won't agree with all of it, particularly the Kelis part and some of the questionable remarks on Nas' catalogue, it's a well written article that I think gives a good summary of Nas' journey in his career

Its not even a review. These publications REALLY don’t want to put a Nas album up there with similar acclaim to Illmatic now that Nas is independent. If he would have dropped the album on Def Jam they’d be falling all over themselves to anoint this the way they did Life Is Good.
