That chat went with Nas.. The 2 podcast once it got around to song 15 didn't wanna give up any wins to eachother so they just agreed to run thru the rest of the songs without declaring a winner.. I thought both sides had some bad picks with the songs tho but it was still interesting nonetheless.

I figured this would be the issue which is why I didn’t bother watching it. Lol

I really don’t get this narrative that KD2 wasn’t a “Hard” Nas album when The Pressure, EPMD 2, Rare, YKTV, and 40
Side are amongst the first SIX SONGS on the project.


Hell four of the songs listed would have sounded right at home on Magic. Especially Rare.

King's Disease II is harder and darker than the first King's Disease. The hardest track on KD1 ("Blue Benz") wouldn't even fit on the second one.

"Rare" is so hard, it could have been on The Lost Tapes. It sounded like an unreleased track.

It wasn’t a bad watch to keep it real. The Jigga team started OUT with some good picks and made some good points but they got progressively weaker as they started going with songs that were features and not true Hov joints whereas According 2 Hip Hop stayed mostly with Nas solo joints.


I was more annoyed that they didn’t go harder for If I Ruled The World. They gave that round away and I get it because they were more confident in winning but If I Ruled The World is one of the best “conscious” singles of all time right up there with Fight The Power
