There are definitely MULTIPLE albums on the level. So not mad at anyone who disagrees. But Magic 1 is special. Speechless (:ohlawd:), Ugly (:obama:), 40-16 (:demonic:) Hollywood Gangstas (:blessed:) Wave Gods (:hubie:), The Truth (THE TRUTH… :damn:), Dedicated (:to:)… if you were hating on hating on Hit Boy producing for Nas after this it just meant you prioritized your bias over the music. And the thing that stands out is that there is not a single miss on the project, which is why I rank it so high. I love Life Is Good (and it definitely has better standout moments, like Stay)… God’s Son might be the Nas album I go back to the most, and Stillmatic is up there too. But they all have a miss or two (or three). This album is flawless.

It was far from overrated.

Nas just has a flux of old dusty nikka fans still stuck in 94 waiting for Premo to make the same beat for the 5011th time since 98, that missed the fact that he dropped 2 of his best 4 albums in the past 3 years.

I skipped school to walk to the mall and be the first nikka in my school to have It Was Written the day it came out.

I’m in a minority that believes LIG is fighting with It Was Wriiten for his 2nd best album. But yeah I Am was a classic. It’s not the 1st album I ever bought but it was the 1st album I walked to the record store right after school to get on release date.

I got a wild story bout getting I Am in high school :mjgrin:

I copped it from K Mart not noticing it was the clean version :stopitslime:

Brought it home and heard the cusses gone :mjtf:

I tried to take it byke and they said they can’t accept it unless it’s scratched. I went around the corner spit my razor out my mouth and gave that cd a Buck 50 that woulda made late 90s NYC Bloods proud :mjgrin:

Took it byke a few min later like :dwillhuh: while the cashier looking at me like :usure:

I got my refund tho then copped the real version from Blockbuster or some shyt :mjgrin:

And you wildin, IWW is Nas best album, easily a GOAT hip hop album in general :stopitslime:

I might check that out, LIG a long ass album tho :dwillhuh:

LIG is certified. shyt one of the best albums of the 2010s. Period. Deluxe version.

Illmatic is the greatest album of all time not just Nas album imo. So, I don’t put anything ahead of it. But giving a buck 50 to the cd is crazy work :mjlol: :mjlol:
