Even leaving skills out of the equation Nas's longevity puts him over everyone. I don't see how anyone can have Big and Pac over him while deceased for well over a decade.

Nas's pen isn't as sharp as it used to be but his music is still at a high level and he's figured out how to age gracefully on mic. Most rappers run out of gas and have nothing to say well before 40. Nas still sounds inspired.

I've listened to some RD lately and I don't think Jay at his best is anywhere close to Nas on Illmatic and IWW. That's not a slight because I don't feel anyone has ever rapped at a level that high.

Have you ever had that moment where life is just coming to you so easy? Decisions are producing desired results. Your most creative shyt just comes out so effortless. Showing love and getting it in return.

It's like that moment has been ongoing for Nas for like 3 years.

It don't even feel like competition music, just an outlet of thought, passion, and wisdom.

Damn, I'm sounding my age

I think it should be noted that there's only one track with features and it has DJ Premier probably doing scratches on it.
Both King's Disease had guests singing hooks and modern rappers who were either more melodic or trap sounding artists.

This one feels more like a "traditional" straightforward rap album if you know what I mean, it will probably sound more like The Cure or Nobody than 27 Summers or YKTV.
And I really like that.

Especially with that album cover and back and some of the track titles
