you're one of the best posters on here...consistent 2That’s what they wanted. They wanted Nas to be that prodigy from the hood who had a good album and that’s it. Maybe you bring him out at your 500 person venue show to hype the crowd for your DJ set. Maybe you do an “Illmatic 2” album in 2000 and sell 10k copies first week. Basically…they wanted him to be OC man. No offense or OC he’s had a dope career but that’s clearly not what Nas wanted.
Nobody listens to a Hov album and complains that Premo isn’t on there. I’m just saying. Nobody elevated the voice of rap nerds who were saying Kanye’s drums were wack and Blueprint should have been produced by Premo or something.
the problem also in the lense that people look at nas' career is that they literarlly dont know his music outside of illmatic IWW and stillmatic....the JBP made me realize that..even hip hop heads....joe mal and ish and ice dont know nas music like that at all. and honestly as most reviewrs are they are on more knowledgable side....and so its bs takes

I said post a RHYM something he's said
a lyric

yall got Nas balls so deep in your mouth
you can't discern simple request
circle jerking each other
I can’t believe it but somehow he’s in another prime.

I feel like if this album didn't get the mixtape treatment, this song would be the only single and have a video.
with KD III on the way
fck all that he should do this and that, just listen and appreciate the music. Brehs debut was in 94 and he still spitting at an elite level
