What? I mean all of the praise and mentions it's getting on social media...that doesn't match 35k right? Doesn't it feel like it should sell like 400k first week from all the love and attention it's getting from everyone? Exactly.

The 35k just shows you that the 25+ crowd aint really buying albums like that. I won't front, I didn't even buy it myself until last night, only because I felt bad, lol. And I'm a super stan.

:dead: :dead: yall nas stans are different man, it got love on social media... but nothing anywhere close to warrant that it would sell 400k+ or even half of that.

with that said, that projected 35k number is still shocking. its the first time people have been talking about or playing nas on a mainstream level since life is good. figured he was locked in for a 70k first week (maybe close to 100k if all the stars aligned) which is good for him in this age and climate, but 35k projected :francis:

wouldnt even be shocked if 1-2k of that 35k came from the coli between sales and streams lol

He is on his own label now. If he wants more sales then he has to spend more on promotion. He wins either way.

Get it to number 1 yall, go buy that! It doesn't matter what it sells, all that matters is that it's number 1, that's all anyone will care about. I'm bout to cop it 5 more times when I get home

Wait....are you guys really that obsessed and deranged enough to buy an album more than once just to get it to #1?
:patrice:

If the music is good, that should be all that matters. Who cares if it's #1? He's already wealthy. Serious questions.
:dwillhuh:

I mean.. good for him. But Its covid-era 2020, music biz been a wrap.. aint nobody looking at numbers :skip:

Just enjoy the music brehs

This.

How many days count for the week? A whole 7 right? They said he on pace to sell 60k and I’m thinking thats right. Unless he release a Spicy music video or some shyt.

He needs to do this ASAP.

This.
He would be the first rapper to go #1 in 4 different decades.

Why people give a fukk about numbers I'll never understand. The fact he's even charting at this point in his career is amazing in itself:salute:

Exactly what I came in here to say :obama:

After 4 decades....as a RAPPER....he's still able to chart. That's great for him.

You got people that been out for only 1 year who cant even sniff the Billboard 200 at all.....so ANYTHING that makes the Billboard 200 charts is a W in my book. Especially 4 decades later :manny:

Yo Gotti: "Untrapped" 35k first week
Megan Tha Stallion: "Suga" 41k first week
Childish Gambino - 31k first week
Lil Durk - Just Cuz Yall Waited" - 57k first week
Gunna - 101k
Lil Yachty - 31k
G-Eazy - 27k.

Young Dolph: "Rich Slave" 64k first week sales. Independent. :myman:
