not sure why you @spliz debating when OP is correct

before bravehearts had oochie wally, flush recorded to that beat

this been known in queens
I'm not debating, just adding on that Oochie Wally was old. I liked the post yesterday when I saw it.

Now it may be folks in the IG comments that didn't know Oochie Wally wasn't a Nas song...

I hated Oochie Wally. That hook was wack as shyt. Royal Flush was flowing! Obviously Ez Elpee made the right move because it became a hit record but man I want the Royal Flush full version!

Capone and Noreaga actually had the "Oochie Wally" beat first. Then it went to Nore for some solo sh*t, but he didn't like it, so Elpee threw him "Bloody Money Pt. 3". After the beat didn't work for Nore, Elpee ended up meeting up with Nas and his people and they took it.

But for those who were around back then, know "Oochie Wally" was on Elpee's beat tape that he was shopping to all the labels and A&R's. Mase had a reference joint over it too. Beans used it too, for his album, but didn't keep it. So mad rappers recorded over it before it came out officially.

Bro, that beat was CRAZY!

EZ Elpee was quietly cooking so many classics from like '95-'02, and wasn't getting the respect he should've. It's wild to hear that Nore thought the beat was wack. That still bugs me out! LOL!!
