When asked about the root of his feud with Jay-Z, Nas speculated that it could be a number of things, but said that Hov needs to let it go. “I don’t know—I don’t know if it’s over a bytch, I don’t know if it’s over the joint I didn’t do with him, I don’t know if he’s trying to show me ‘I told you so’—meaning that he would be as successful or more successful as me—and if it’s that, it shouldn’t be because I never told him that he wouldn’t or that he couldn’t. All I know is that something is really bothering him and he needs to address it, release it, and get over it.”

Jay just comes off as the most insecure person ever in real life/interviews. It's insane that Shawn Carter the man is Jay-Z the artist with all the swag. He just comes off as so swagless

Is this like the rap equalivent of people who scour the internet for clips of celebs saying something controversial or "bad" from 20 years ago? Who fukking cares. Nas and Hov are cool. AND Nas and Pac were cool before Pac passed away. There's this weird thing from Pac fans where they want to basically keep the story Pac told accurate...even if this has nothing to do with it. Pac told Nas about the upcoming disses and told him not to respond, Nas said he liked his music and they dapped. Basically...that's the gist of the story, no matter what side you fall on right? So the fact that Nas dissed Pac BEFORE that meeting is irrelevant.

People acting like Nas went back on his word or something. Stop being weird. Not saying the OP is being weird...it's mainly Pac fans on reddit and twitter tbh.

Bro I was shytting on some of them weirdo fans man. I’m like how the fukk y’all mad about some shyt that happened 25 years ago BEFORE they squashed they shyt. On top of the fact that Pac literally had the last word anyway and Nas ain’t say a negative thing about Pac in 25 years.

Exactly. Just a few days ago there was a thread here claiming It's Mine was Nas dissing Pac in 99. The...same year Nas released an album with a Pac tribute song. Come on.

This was chess at the time. Nas and Hov were spitting subs and I'm pretty sure he started it on that Clue tape. But here he's playing it like Jay was thirsty. lol
