I’m not going for DaBaby. DaBaby sucks. I’m going for Lil Baby and Pop Smoke who were snubbed everyone except the old nikkas who post here think so.

Nas didn’t deserve to win any of those years he dropped less culturally dominant albums, less influential albums, and inferior albums musically.

There’s zero argument for Lil Baby not being nominated none. Again you nikkas just think he’s an incoherent mumbler and have no grasp of how good he is and how much he dominated the past year.

Nas never won a Grammy because he never deserved to do so. He was never snubbed and the committee doesn’t have shyt against him.

1) Who or who wasn't snubbed is all opinions. That's one thing. To say who did or didn't deserve to win or be nominated is another. Join the committee if you feel someone was snubbed. Blame his label for him not being nominated.

2) Again, you are no better than any one poster on here to say what one artist did/didn't deserve.

3) I don't know why you are including me with people voicing their opinions on Lil Baby. I said nothing about him one way or another.

4) Breh, The Grammys have NEVER cared which album was more culturally impactful or significant or quality. I could list a bunch of albums that were more significant on all fronts that still LOST to lesser culturally significant works.

Juelzing. shyt is wrong period

Grammy’s need to match the times and climate because that’s what they do celebrate the music and document it as exemplary of its times

If y’all old nikkas want your albums nominated I recommend the Grammys make 2 categories

Best traditional rap album and best contemporary rap album

Rap nominations with actual talent :ohhh:
Nas should win this but they might give it to Jay Electronica for the Jigga connection.
Not mad if Gibbs wins.
Royce album was kinda weak.
Haven't even heard D Smoke.
Might've given Pop Smoke a nomination for cultural impact.
Lil Baby doesn't deserve to be anywhere near Grammys :russ: Breh can't rap for shyt.
Dababy could've got a nom too.

Are Lil Baby and Roddy albums better than Royce's?

Are you saying they deserve to be over Royce because their music is more in tune with today's youth or because they sold more or because they're better? Or all three? Or two of the three?

Genuinely asking, not trying to be funny.

And Grammy's rap album lists have always been pretty random. Tyler, The Creator won last year and his album not even really a rap album lol.

I’m arguing all three I guess. Though when it comes to better, I would only say — as someone who listened to all the albums were discussing — that their albums are better. I believe Royce is miles better as an MC, and his music is definitely more in line with what I personally fukk with. But those albums are really, really, really fukking good (Royce’s was solid, imo). And they’re EVERYWHERE.

and yeah, Tyler is another great example. Should have been up for (and won, imo) album of the year.

I agree with what you’re saying. Just feels like the blatant snubs are being overlooked because the hip hop is dead crowd is getting their turn at the podium. Which is fine. But let’s not act like the Grammys are suddenly on point with it because those who got snubbed aren’t in our personal rotations.

But maybe I’m wrong! :yeshrug:

I listened to some of these new nikkas just because I had time and was bored.

Lil Baby’s album wasn’t impressive to me. Besides The Bigger Picture its was the same old shyt most of these other younger rappers be on. He got two nominations in what he SHOULD have been nominated in, for SONGS. The album was just another example of these “artists” placing 2-3 hit singles amongst a bunch of filler to rack up streaming numbers.

Roddy Rich was the same shyt. I’d already heard half the album before but gave it a full listen. Didn’t fukk with it. Although I WILL say The Box is a banger. Thats just a great SONG no matter how you put it. And he was nominated accordingly.

I listened to it last night the young Homie @ISO swore by him and as a :flabbynsick: from the 88-96 era I was like let's see what this new generation crying about how he's the truth, album of the year.

I listened, Sonically the Album was dope, lyrically this new flow kills it, that shyt is wack to me and always been wack

If he just rapped regular, expanded his wordplay, he can be a force

These new rappers just don’t do shyt for me. Honestly their barely worth debating and arguing about. Nas, Gibbs, and Royce deserves their nominations and if these new cats wanna compete then they should make some actual quality ALBUMS instead of focusing their careers on 2 hot singles out of 22 tracks:manny:

Well, the old heads aren't the ones complaining. You've been in here fuming old heads this and old heads that. If you want your artists celebrated, maybe ya'll should make your own category.

Grammys have never been indicative of or in touch with the times and that has ALWAYS been the case. You're in here mad because this year they didn't nominate an album by Lil Baby. Boo hoo
