Why all these celebs keep saying Lil Baby got snubbed..

Nygga didn't even win best album BET rap awards..

Now he snubbed?

No one looked at the other rap categories because the story of the best rap album being so non commercial was circulated around

Basically people are being idiots as per usual

I was surprised RTJ4 wasnt nominated. I wasnt a fan of Jay elects so I woulda either went with RTJ or The Games album over that. I think the grammys got it close to right though. They went critical acclaim for album of year. The more popular acts still got thier shine in other catagories. I dont see the issue.

Is Em irrelevent in the mainstream now? Not a single nom. Funny thing is MTBMB was super dope and woulda been much more deserving then some of his more recent noms.

Funny that the ‘rap industry’ is saying ths list doesn’t rep hip hop...each of these guys minus D Smoke are vets and made albums more than deserving to be nominated and have had multiple years they were snubbed of even a nomination...I bumped Alfredo, Allegory and Kings disease religiously through this year, usually that means the album won’t even be noticed so this is the best weird thing that’s happened all year :lolbron:

I'm assuming that Eminem didn't submit Music to Be Murdered By for consideration. If he had, I'm sure they would have placed him in the Best Rap Album category.

Fam its wild. I've never once heard Nas go on a rant about not being nominated or not winning. He creates his craft and let's the chips fall as they may.

They have "the streets" and clubs that cater to them, and award shows and everything else. Now these, short bus rappers get pushed to the side for lyrical Hip Hop, and they cry foul. Karma paid it's due and these, weak voice autotune rappers gotta step up the quality.

"I think this is a great time for somebody to start something new..."

Lol, this cornball, why doesn't he do it? Who is 'somebody'? He has all the means and notoriety (unwarranted) to do it. Ol "kick the can down the road" ass logic.

People mad that the Grammys chose albums based on their quality and not their popularity, smh, disgust.

Nobody outside of nerdy message boards has ever heard of 9th Wonder :yeshrug:
I’m not gonna try and argue with that. You aren’t wrong when it comes to *fans*. But 9th does have a lot of respect, clout, and pull within the industry; he generally is also well respected by his peers. He’s a smart cat and an excellent networker. He’s won multiple Grammy’s himself. He’s not done nobody throwing shade at Nas from the sidelines.

I mean I get your point. Him leaving Nas out isn’t a big deal, but hopefully his peers let him know it was kinda lame.

The only thing he’s ever said (when asked by Sway) is that the fact that Hip Hop is even represented means that all of them are winners.

Nas is a true class act.

He STILL should have at least three Grammys to his name though. He’ll have one come 2021 :blessed:

Yes he’s irrelevant and irrelevance is EXACTLY where he belongs

I agree on all fronts. He's made some great music. Can't front on him. I don't think his recent work is that noteworthy

He's best friends with Young Guru, who was on twitter/IG for weeks dapping Nas' album, so maybe they had a debate or conversation lol.
