Weeknd got robbed. Dropped the first major artist album during the pandemic, sold very well, received critical acclaim...but prob didn't agree to perform at the show and they said aite then fukkouttahere lol. And another case of a black artist getting fukked because they want to keep black music separate from generic pop categories.

The Grammys will always find a way to pull some fukk shyt, to balance out the surprising moments of competency. I have no idea why Weeknd didn't clean up with nominations. Either he didn't submit the album for consideration (which I doubt) or they're trying to make an example out of him. Because that Album of the Year category looks tragic outside of Future Nostalgia and Folklore. :scust:

Life is Good is way better than King’s Disease, stop it.

Stay >>>>>> anything on that album. And that ain’t the best song on LiG.

Untitled and Distant Relatives are also better imo. Minus that bullshyt song with Joss Stone, Distant Relatives is a borderline classic.

ehhh. LIG is coo, but not up there with this album... Full Circle, Car 85, Blue Benz, 27 Summers, The Cure etc. too much fire

It’s not about being more into newcomers, or who’s more hip hop. It’s about respecting all sides of the game.

Under what criteria, other than personal preference, do pop and baby not deserve nominations? Baby is arguably the most impactful 25-and-under MC in the game. As for pop... when Jadakiss, French, Jim Jones and half the city are rapping over drill beats... who’s responsible for that?

Not trying to slight those who were included. Honestly, it’s more in line with what I fukk with. But for the Grammys to truly get it right, they can’t cater to one audience.
Let's just agree to disagree. You really think highly of Lil Baby and Pop Smoke with their influence and I don't want to come off disrespectful. I just don't feel the same way. They can still have their influence on the kids and 25 and under crowd but this grown folks music and nominations. I really don't care about the grammys so all this is moot.

Eminem has been very vocal about his opinion on the Grammys, so in my opinion I don’t think he cares. He already has several Grammys and his album is platinum..so this is no major loss.

Will be interesting to read the opinions of Griselda about not being nominated in spite of putting out several projects this year...

Tell your generation to make some classic albums with dope lyrics, beats, Content, instead trap, pop pills and shyt

I grew up on Wu & Hov, but at some point in life you have to be real with yourself -- this shyt isn't indicative of the best rap in the submission period. This is the same category that had Meek and 21 in it last year, something happened (read: the uprising over the summer) that swayed the decisions of the committee.

A seat at the table is all these nikkas wanted anyway:yeshrug:

now you know this thread or board isn't a good barometer of what the masses like, this is like a diverse focus group of opinionated/informed fans, the average fan would obviously beg to differ.

Lil Baby had the most dominant album in the culture 2020 period

These old nikkas crazy under no circumstances does a Royce 5’9 album deserve to be nominated he isn’t now nor ever was a Grammy artist and his shyt not moving the needle at all

Lil Baby, Pop these are the artists making the music that’s defining our times.

They went full retard with these nominations give it to Nas and wrap it up

Summer Walker and Weeknd not getting nominated is crazy

surprised about both honestly. Maybe they “forgot” about Summer because it feels like she peaked all the way back in last summer (which might as well be two years ago with everything thats going on)

but The Weeknd being snubbed is unforgivable. There will be Hell to pay with THAT one.

It’s not about 25 and under crowd dude

Kool Moe Dee and Slick Rick wasn’t winning awards over Nas and Biggie in the 90’s
