nikka no it's not. That 14 million streams translates to dirt nikka. Lol
Across a full year that's hundreds of millions of streams and it def translates to a lot of money if your contract isn't fukked up. Nas is gonna EAT off Illmatic once it's fully in his control in a couple years.

Another thing to remember: Illmatic is constantly being used in films and television. Ozark had multiple episodes playing damn near the entire album. That drives more streams to the album and the artist eats off that plus the licensing. That's why I felt so bad for De La when that Spider Man film had their song in the end credits. A lot of kids loved that song but couldn't stream it. Low key I think that film was the catalyst to get their stuff on Spotify/Apple.

Nas helped them get their stuff on Spotify/Apple. U don't remember that?

Collab and Preme and rap like 2010s Jay Z only to flop big time

I guess his fans don’t like Tyc00n Nas

Yes. It’s between 40 something and 70k a year. Depending on the percentage. Not more than that. Streams don’t give u shyt.
Yep, that's why these artists are selling their catalogs like crazy; they wouldn't do that if streaming made them what some people think it does.

Nas is the only musician in history that have 6 albums debut in the top 10 and not go gold or platinum

He also has more non gold and platinum albums than having gold and platinum albums

Nasty avg (pun intended) for the goat

Its like lebron MJ and Kobe missing the all star or all nba for like 10 years straight. GOAT status revoked

This is ridiculous. Why do you think artists with catalogs that perform on streaming are being bombarded with offers? Smart investors know that they can buy a long term cash cow for quick money up front. It’s like a reverse mortgage in that it’s a terrible deal that someone who just wants the cash will take.
You guys just make up anything.

exactly. Bruce Springsteen would not have sold his catalog for a half billion if it was really bringing in as much as people think in a year.
