Nas sells 5k albums opening week

I like multiple songs but I don't really have anything positive to say about how this album was handled. From the production to the "rollout." Especially in light of what we saw in every other Legend release. And while sales don't matter let's be clear: if this sells less than Mobb's album that's a massive fukk up whether you guys want to admit it or not.

It is nikka Columbia hasn’t updated the certifications for like 4 of his albums since release.

I don't believe Nastradamus is 2x plat but overall you're right. Case in point to move this away from the Nas/Jay stan wars: Kendrick is eligible for some insane certs that Interscope has not paid for. Humble is eligible for 20x plat. DNA and All Of The Stars are eligible for 11x. There are a bunch of others but guess what. He doesn't give a shyt, and the label hasn't moved to certify them. I'm sure there's a Drake stan somewhere laughing at this argument but it's reality. The RIAA isn't handing shyt out for free. You either pay or you don't get your plaque. And if you're Nas who already got paid his points and royalties off those albums selling whatever they sold...why would he care.

If the nikka had a heavy hitter producer do the whole album like a Pharrell or someone. If he got Kendrick Lamar on a lead single. If he featured Tyler The Creator on the album. If he beefed with both Drake and Travis publicly and did articles and interviews about it. If he was on a non independent label and if he bundled the album and sold it up to a year before release. And if he did a whole promo run leading up to it like Tiny Desks, music videos and all kinda shyt. Come on fam.

First 4 tracks are kinda forgettable or weak, then it picks up at track 5 (15 total tracks). It’s a short album though (like 45 min). I would give it a 3 or 3.5 out of 5.

It's literally one of his worst albums. The beats are mostly bland and while Nas is flowing his ass off it's only so many times you can listen to a nikka reminisce on the old days non creatively.
