This fugazi sounding article must be from a Coli breh. Nas haven’t even invested, a firm that he’s a partner at did. And they invest 100-500k according to Saleh. It seems highly unlikely that QVP let alone Nas could make that of investing a few 100 rack. That would mean they got nearly 5% of the company for for say 500 racks. When millions flooded in they already, were hot and already had started making profits. Dunno.

It is being reported that Nas has made over $40 Million dollars from his early investment in Ring. Congrats King!

thanks, i was wondering how early he invested and how much to see a $40 million return.

i'm sure he's seeing a nice amount but i doubt it's that much.

he's gonna be eating off investing in dropbox once they go public, though. they're looking at a $10+ billion valuation. nas isn't gonna make $400 million off it, though. more rappers should get into venture capitalism in the tech industry before that bubble bursts.

The firm is called QueensBridge Ventures so its his firm not just a partner. If you look at the Crunchbase page for their stats they list him them as not the leading investors (He isnt for any of his ventres so its a low risk high reward deal) but the total raised for Ring was $5.5 million and he got a cut of 40 mil off the billion for 20 investors

Other sites are also reporitng from it and they gotta verify (Karen Civil, Vibe) so there's something,

Plus Anthony Saleh himself who never discloses all the investments they have done that have brought made a big deal about this one so it looks like the 40 mil seems legit

They been caking off big deals for a minute, they funded Genius first (Billion dollar worth now) Dropbox, Seatgeek, Lyft so hes been officalfor a minute

He keeps his investments on the low, remember no one knew he owned the touring company that created Rock the Bells/Paid Dues until it was revelaled in the Kelis divorced papers so he tends to be quiet

I’m not gonna so like Karen Civil and other gossip retweeters and act like I know QBs PnL. But I’m questioning anyone knowing how much Nas gets. And the firm was invented by Anthony Saleh who brought in Nas and some other people as founding partners according to themselves.

However what I’m questioning is how you get 5% of an investment, when 20 people invest and your investment made up in the best case 5% (Saleh said they invest 100-500k, series A was 4.5+5.5) of the series A. So if you are in 5% of the series A, how can you own 5% of the company? When the series A was just a portion. Now add to that, how can they know how much Nas as a partner made.

This is not saying that they didn’t make a lot of money, more or less, I’m just questioning how they arrive at the figure based on info that’s out.

In any event though, whatever the figure. It’s just super dope to see brehs make
moves in a space where we are seriously underrepresented. Without getting a bag from their parents to study mathematics at Stanford or do an mba at Harvard or whatever. :obama:

No one knows how much each of the different investors contributed, some more than others but thats how the payout goes based on how much they put in. Just because they are one of 20 investors, dont know if they get 5% exactly. Could be more could be less

"We buy black" is not a valid source. If it's true his manager said they only invested 100-500k in this, their return isn't nearly 40mil. I'm sure Nas received money from the sale...but I doubt it was even 1mil.
