Son cut the BS..if Nas does something wack I readily admit it..u came in here shyttin on his flow while admittedly barely even paying attention to the song...but u had enough time and couldnt wait to post some negative shyt tho...bottom line is it was inaccurate to criticize his flow on this song when it was completely in pocket the ENTIRE song..not one section was it off ..

Breh...you're the homie but you telling me you had a problem with Salaam on Life is Good?? Queens Story knocks breh. and Cherry Wine. And I understand that dude doesn't always bat 1000, but Nas' connection with him stems from him being the guy who got him back in the studio once his moms passed and helped him get through it. Take it from someone who's been in that position, you really grow fond of the people who help you through some depressing shyt like that

I give Remi shyt sometimes. I don't even think it's so much that he doesn't bat 1000, I think it's that people hear music from top shelf producers that Nas has worked with before that have expressed interest in working with him again (Pete Rock, DJ Premier, Alchemist, Large Pro, etc.), and ones that haven't, but want to (Madlib, 9th Wonder, MF DOOM, Just Blaze, DJ Toomp, etc.) I mean I remember when God's Stepson came out and XXL asked Nas if he'd like to work with 9th Wonder and he's like "Oh absolutely. The fans want it. I want it. let's go." Then 9th never gets the call until 8 years later, and when he does, he gets something that got cut off the Distant Relatives album.
Same with ALC. ALC made arguably the best series of music with Nas out of any producer post 1996. Most of it was on Stillmatic and God's Son, or ended up on The Lost Tapes, or 1st Infantry, and other ALC albums and cutting room floor projects. But like, the same way that Nas didn't go back and ever work with Preem after 1999, why not ever work with ALC after 2005? Especially when you've said you'd love to work with both of them again? I never expected a full Nas and DJ Premier album, but not one song?
It's the potential of stuff that we're missing. That's why I think people clown on Salaam Remi. We know how dope Nas would sound with some of these dudes. Nas has even gone out of his way, after years of talking about how he's riding around in the car picking out ALC beats for Life Is Good, or how he's doing the album with Preem, or how he's ready to work with 9th Wonder...even if not them, he could work with anyone he wants to at this stage in his career.
Then he turns around and says: "Well I have a wish list sometimes or I have a dream list of who I would love to work with and wish they would want to get in the studio and do records or whatever," Nas told BET.com. "Then I have my own ideas of being a producer. And what happens is a lot of time goes by with me being indecisive so it winds up with me kind of like doing what I have to do really fast because I played around for so long. Anyways. The Season is a great step in the right direction. Dilla may be gone, but his work is everywhere. Nas picked a great beat and made a great song with it. Hopefully this kick starts things in a better direction production wise. Nas may pick a lot of sub-par beats, but he'll always be one of my favorites of all time, and he's in there as arguably the GOAT.
