these people work just as hard as any schlub sitting at a desk job posting on the coli :rudy: give them their fukking money. i don't even eat fast food but everyone deserves a decent wage.

in what world do you live in where people are rewarded simply cuz they "deserve" it??? if you want something, you are gonna have to earn it. and how hard they are working is irrelevant. My pops taught me years ago to work smarter, not harder.

I think the wage increase will come, but definitely at a heavy price: McDonald's: More than a trillion served, by robots

Where you see 8-10 workers at a busy McDonalds now, you'll see robots and around 2-3 supervisors (who would have been on staff anyway). There will actually really only be a need for management (who aren't really complaining about their salaries), not really employees.

Wawa already has this in place at all of their stores (And them sandwiches so goooooood!). Only 1 person working the sandwich line while everyone orders from a screen, where as at your traditional Subway, you'd have around 2-3 people. But they have the robots who can actually make the food too, so I don't even know how long that 1 person is gonna be there.

Fast food is a dying field. Just like journalism. Only no one feels bad for journalism majors because they aren't making horrible cheaply priced food. :yeshrug:

Anybody that is not making over minimum wage is being grossly exploited and wages must go up for everyone, not just fast food workers, everyone!
Look at how much McDs is making off their employees.. And y'all wanna bytch like it's your money. This is a start, other companies and jobs will follow. Bout time our wages caught up with the cost of living.

i was on the fence of paying 15$ for fast food workers since i didn't have the knowledge or info to understand the impact, but after researching the topic, i say raise that bytch to 15$. the wealth distribution and tax money would do wonders for the economy and i'm sure wages for all jobs would go up too.

i hope workers get guaranteed hours, paid vacation and holidays on top of the 15$ as well.

yea because America really rewards the hardest workers throughout history huh :mjlol:

Or the people that really want to earn more (99 % of the nation) can simply work hard and earn more huh :mjlol:

Nobody in the public sector making shytty wages works hard at their job or try and get out huh?:mjlol:

Come on, breh you know better than this

shyt lets not even talk about the "interviews" apparently HR in some companies is a fukking automated system that scans your resumes for keywords or phrases that they set into the system (because they require that you just send your resume online)!

Then you got college grads happily taking unpaid internships at companies/firms assuming that through doing nothing at said firm that has to do with what you want your career to be (e.g. taking out trash, getting the starbucks, mopping, etc.); you'd get the position you want. :snoop:

Man to make it even more ignant...these firms are like some females, they don't want you when you don't have a job, but then want you once you got one....I graduated 2012...sent out a meager 30 applications. My first response was December 2012; second was March 2013; third was August 2013; fourth was January 2014 and the fifth was via email last fukking month breh...

:what:
They had me go to a thing called "career connect" when I got laid off and it was suppose to teach us how to get jobs. Mandatory due to my unemployment was running out, they wanted us to copy and paste all these hidden ass terms. Funny thing is no one in career connect got a job and employers came every week to recruit. :russ:

I get emails and no thank you responses from shyt I applied to in 2012 :mjlol:

They are already shutting down black owned businesses across the nation so that's not a worthy argument. The fact remains that the fast food corporation can triple the salaries of their workers and still make a ridiculously high profit with the same prices but choose not to because they are greedy. let's keep it real here.

Like i said before i feel for people with skills that are not being paid well.
The whole reason fast food works because it build of cheap labor. Nobody is taught to be a fast food worker growing up.

:myman:thank you proving that if you do the research, the evidence of exploitation and the the benefits of people making decent wages is there. thank you.

Do you people not understand that the cost of EVERYTHING has gone up repeatedly?

How do you people not realize we got into the 1% versus 99% because wages have not increased at all over the last 20 years?

People from all walks of life no matter what their job should follow the fast food workers example and fight for better wages. Not debate wether they deserve more money.

Sort of off-topic but when did this 1% thing become a thing. It seems like all of a sudden everyone just realized that there are wealthy people in America and now we have to hate them. I don't get it.

That too

reminds me of this scene

Our schools, aside from a few rogues, really don't prepare or even encourage anything that doesn't require higher education :yeshrug:

Exactly. Their main purpose is to prepare the masses for wage labor in the public sector. That is their primary purpose.
