Not every job is going to afford you a wage that you can raise a family and buy a home off of. What makes fastfood workers special? If that's the case, let's give babysitters, lifeguards, dog walkers, pay increases. Certain jobs are their for extra pay, unless you are going into management.

Oh and if you've been flipping fries and burgers for years and haven't at least attempted to move up or out, that's on your lazy ass.

I always find the contradictory rhetoric concerning CEO salaries to be funny. In this same thread, if it goes on long enough, you will have a lot of people in here saying "Well, who are you tell tell minimum wage workers how much they should make and that they should limit themselves by not asking for more!"...

.... but then in that same breath spit rhetoric about what CEOs should ask to make or what CEOs should make.

Also, working is fast food is about to die out. Robots are gonna be in the stores working the cash registers in the coming years. For some reason people still find it fun and cool to tell fast food workers they don't need skills/education. I hope you all are prepared to take care of them when they are replaced by a computer.

People travel from countries around the world to be educated in America, people damn near face death and going broke world wide to pay for education and we have people on this board making a mockery of education and it's value to society. Only in America.
:wow:

Sort of off-topic but when did this 1% thing become a thing. It seems like all of a sudden everyone just realized that there are wealthy people in America and now we have to hate them. I don't get it.

What are you talking about? People recognize the 1 percent because that class has not wavered or grown in centuries; they have closed off so that no can join but a select few so the labor force continues to produce capital at a cheap cost....that's a problem and they have always been hated if you know your history.

in what world do you live in where people are rewarded simply cuz they "deserve" it??? if you want something, you are gonna have to earn it. and how hard they are working is irrelevant. My pops taught me years ago to work smarter, not harder.

the world called america. you think most of the upper class got there just from "hard work" or "pulling themselves up by their bootstraps" :mjlol: most of them had wealth handed down to them or were handed a good paying job.

the outrage against workers fighting economic inequality is puzzling.

I guess I don't get why people think it's a problem in a capitalist society.

I see what you are saying, but people are criticizing components of a system and not giving proper causation to the system which makes all the oppressive legs work. People need to look at it from a systemic standpoint and they will see that its not the minimum wage, or the work, or the education or the one percent owners...its the whole goddamn mess, homie. The system
